Have you experienced a-lot of shedding when taking your braids down? If not what is your regime? If so, what did you do to combat it?

If it's shedding you are seeing (the bulbs on the ends), then that is relatively normal. Keep in mind that its normal to lose up to 100 pieces of hair a day. So, essentially what you see when you are taking down braids after weeks or months, is all the shed hair that has accumulated with no where to go. So I wouldn't worry to much. But what I do during my braids is continue my normal regimine- wash and DC every week with moisturizing conditioner, and moisturize hair daily with a braid spray, occassionally sealing with coconut oil. Occasionally I'll also integrate a light-moderate protein treatment. And I redo my edges every 2-3 weeks. I usually don't see more than normal shedding.
