I love Feria. In the world of box colors, Feria is one of the best IMO. They have very vibrant colors and the conditioner that comes with it is very nice.

I agree with this.
When I used to color my hair Feria was my favorite.
The colors that are on the box becomes the color on your hair if you know what you are doing.

I always hear horror stories (after doing a search, yay!) about how this eats your hair for breakfast!

I've been dying to try the Starry Black color for who knows how long...but the horror stories I hear scare me away from it. :nono:

I tried Feria twice, and twice it wrecked my hair. I found it really, reallydrying, but people seem to either love Feria or hate it. I hate it. :ohwell:

whoa these 2 responses are complete opposite...

There was a member here named curlyj and I remember her specifically saying it dried her hair out bad. She was natural. I was thinking about dying my hair at the time and she told me don't use Feria. I read a few other reviews about Feria being drying. I think that was over at NP. I've heard much better reviews about Textures and Tones. But I also agree with AFashionSlave a lot of times when our hair has problems its not necessarily what's being used that's causing the problem. It's usually operator error. I know that's why my relaxed hair was jacked up. Too many stylists not doing what they were supposed to.

I absolutely LOVE Feria. It's the only at-home color that I've used that was worth anything, IMO. I think the level of success with at-home color really has a lot to do with the health of your hair to begin with.

At the same time, I would never do Black or Blonde with at-home color. The level of dye deposited by black at-home kits can be just as harsh as the chemical used to strip for blonde (according to my old stylist). So, I've always stayed away from black. Why not try indigo or something? You'll get black results without the harsh effects!

Either way, if you do decide to go with Feria or anyother at-home color, make sure your hair is in great condition PRE-coloring!
