I class steam treatments as deep conditioning as effectively it is the same thing, although steam is better than using a hood dryer because the steam allows the conditioner to penetrate the shaft more easily.
If you're using MT, it is still a good idea to continue your DC treatments.

Yodie it's that serious? I'm getting excited thinking about the possibilities! I just assembled my steamer today and I can't wait to try it. My strands are already feeling the effects of the season (dryness). I plan on steaming every 2 weeks. How often do you steam? Also do you find that it helps your scalp (itching, dryness)?
I put my DC on my hair and then go underneath my steamer.
i never steam naked hair.
I don't have a steamer yet but I am waiting on God to release my financial breakthrough which will be manifested in short order and then I will invest in one of these as I believe my hair really needs it right now.
Where are you ladies purchasing your steamers? Is there an online store? Thanks in advance for the responses.
I wanted a tabletop steamer that I could disassemble after use. So, I thought I would save $ by ordering one from China. Not so!! Had to buy a converter. Should've just purchased a U.S. tabletop version.
Either way, I love my steamer.
Just curious... why don't you steam naked hair?
Hey there,
Do you know of any where online to purchase this? I really want a tabletop hair steamer.
tia,
tishee
Are you suggesting I continue hooded dryer DC's? Just curios... why?
No if you have a steamer you should use it for your DC'ing, as it is a more effective method as opposed to the dry heat of a hood dryer.
When you sit under the steamer what do you apply to the hair?
