Excuse the messiness. I've become lazy since I took a semester off and I'm job hunting so I haven't brushed my hair in a week or washed it in 3 days :lachen: As you can tell from the pictures, I dyed my hair red back in uhhh, May or something and it turned out brown x_x; my last relaxer was in early August so you can pretty much tell the difference. My hair grows like I'm a werewolf so it's easy to spot I think.

I apologize for the messiness, again! I still think that if I cut my hair it's going to end up frizzy.

What are we supposed to be looking at?

New growth? New color? New style?

Is this how you "protective" style your hair?

What's strange m'dear

I think that the people who are reading this thread and looking at your pictures would like you to clarify your original post. I think, based on some of the replies that there may be some confusion and perhaps you could enlighten us by answering all or some or one of the questions below.

Are you asking for advice?
Are you showing us your new growth?
Are you showing us your color?
Are you considering a BC?
What is it that you want us to know or comment on?

By the way, I like the way your new growth looks.

Aha. My new growth compared to before. I don't really care much about the red/brown that is. At the end of the post I asked whether it'll be frizzy if I cut, but I didn't ask in a... question sort of way. Eto

If you cut it how?
Do you want to BC down to the new growth or just a cut in general.
I don't see how it would be frizzy in either case. The pictures are ever so slightly blurry so I can't get a really good idea about your natural texture but it looks good from what I can see. Just like with all hair care, you just have to use the right products for you if you BC. Based on your OP I would try to discourage you from a BC if your schedule and job hunt are keeping you from consistently maintaining your hair now, and with fall/winter coming, a BC may not be a good look if you don't maintain it. If you do well maintaining a BC, then it may actually be a good option for you. It all depends on you and what you think will work best with your lifestyle and the new job that you are looking for.

Oooh, no. I've gave you the wrong impression. I do my hair everyday, but not as of late because I've been ill and haven't had enough energy to do anything with it. The way I look at it, shorter hair is easier to take care of, minus hair that is down my back which = me losing my mind trying to brush it. And I kinda want to cut it so that I don't have to get touch-ups in Olomouc/Umeå or wherever next spring  and long hair is too much of a hassle i think x.x

You won't know if your hair has a tendancy to frizz unless you cut it. Short hair is not necessarily easier to manage than long hair...it is only easier if you let go of all expectations about what your hair SHOULD do and simply accept what it do.
For many people (not me!) chopping back to the new growth 2 months post isa big step...choose wisely.
