Has anyone considered diluting their poo with aloe?

I was reading on the Salon board about a salon that has a shampoo that is 70% aloe.

I wondered that the next time I actually used shampoo if cutting it with aloe instead of water would 'do' anything.

What do y'all think?

That sounds interesting. I've never used aloe in my hair (just for sunburns and scars), but it sounds like it could be beneficial. It could add extra moisturizing properties....cutting down on the drying effect of some shampoos or hard water. Post your results if you try it.

The aloe is definitely going to do something. When I washed last weekend I rollerset my hair with 2/3 ice water and 1/3 aloe vera juice. I didn't pour the water out, I just put the spray bottle back in the bathroom.

When my husband combed the boys hair he picked the bottle up and was almost done before I could tell him it was not all water. My youngest has a patch of hair in the back of his head that is always dry no matter what I put on it. But since his dad spritzed his hair with the aloe and water that patch has been as soft as the rest of his hair.

Go figure.

Oh and BTW, I've only put coconut oil on my hair twice since I did it last weekend and my hair is still soft and moisturized all the way down to the ends. (I was playing in my hair as I came across this post.)
