Did I finally reach WL? I had my daughter take these pictures today since I flat ironed my hair for a special occasion. It looks WL but the ends appear thinner. I think I will trim it some:ohwell:, maybe not since I don't wear my hair straight very often.

What do you all think?

Looks like you did!! Congrats!!:yay:

ETA: I think your ends look fine, I am a V myself and I kinda like it.

Sorry to get off topic, but this post reminds me of a funny conversation my friend and I had with one another. It started off with us asking each other"What is WL hair and how do you know when you've reached it?" and one of us was like "Well, it depends on what you consider your waist. Is it the 80's waist or the 21st century waist?" We thought that was funny because back in the day a lot of women (including my mom) used to wear their pants really high up, usually at or above their belly buttons (aka mom jeans) and nowadays a woman's waist-line is considered a couple of inches lower than that (think mid and low-rise jeans). Long story short, in my opinion you have reached WL. But what do you go by, the eighties waist or the 21st century waist?.

It's a little hard to tell with that shirt, but it does look like it! Congrats!
And since you don't wear your hair striaght often anyway, I wouldn't worry about the ends.

OT: wow that is a bangin' flat-iron job girl.

As far as length goes, I would be better able to judge if all the pictures were taken at the same angle. The Sept. pic looks more like MBL at the angle taken.

Actually the "80s waist" you refer too is actually your natural wasit line. Meaning that is your waist. Don't believe me? Google it lol. When you measure someones waist when fitting for clothes your measure the smallest area around the torso called the natural waist. It looks like this
) ( <--- see where the waist goes in ? Thats your waist. It usually lines up with your elbows and a little above your belly button. The "21st century" waist you refer to is actually really close to hip if not at hip. Now-a-days people wear their pants on or right above their hips instead of at their actual waist. Don't believe me? when you have your pants on feel for your hip bone..it's right there:yep:. So if I want to be correct she is just reaching WL with the tips of her hairs lol. Hope I broke that down well:drunk:.

And Congrats AngelDoll on reaching WL!

Yeah, you did :). I pretty much always believed that your waist is where your abdomen naturally starts tapering inward, it's just that this post reminded me of a silly conversation my friend and I were having. I guess we were asking a legitimate question about where your waist is and simultaneously noticed how low-rise pants have gotten over the years. I guess where pants naturally fall now is classified as almost TBL.

Yes definately waist. Where are the people looking who see midback its the last picture on the right that has the date 9/18.

Now that I look again. It does look like your hair is mostly MBL and with the bottom of the V just touching WL.Im now judging from your elbows, since I really cant see your waist. Congrats on your progess.

Smiles so here i am reading the definition of high waist and low waist. Goes into the mirror lifts up blouse and starts looking for waist. ) (. I like the definition tho i've hear it before.

BTW OP your hair is fantabulously beautiful!! I think you're MBL.

Look at the line drawn from the picture on the left, where her waist is clearly seen, its definitely waist lenght, not just the bottom of the V. I think its a beautiful length, your hair is gorgeous

Thanks to all of you ladies for your honest opinions and observations. I can always count on you all to tell it "like it is".

I am going to claim MBL. My goal is to reach WL by December 2008.

BTW you ladies have some beautiful hair.

Good luck and happy hair growing!!!!

Congrats OP!!!

Congrats OP!!!

Amara you are silly .

To the OP, your hair is so lovely and long. It looks mbl to me too, but shoot I dunno really, if you are short you could very likely be at waist, its just hard to tell for sure from the pics. If you aren't all the way there yet, you definitely will be in December!

Your hair is at WL IMO. It has passed the blue line, which look like it is on the same spot above you elbows. I'd definitely claim it!
Your hair has grown tremendously since March. Amazing progress and gorgeous hair!
