The way I imagine it is he just grabbed it and started brushing quick time and she was so shocked and by the time she caught herself he was already running away with her ponytail flying behind him like a kite
 
I believe it's a Sexual thing. He loves long hair he knows how to talk to the woman gain their trust to touch it. there was a report last year were a man went around to hair salon that did haircuts for the LOCKS OF LOVE group and said he reposented them. collected the ponytails. you can go on ebay and bid on ponytails also,
 
That's why I really wear ponytails - my hair is always in a bun. And yes, that is assault. He cut off a part of that woman's body, not just steal her handbag.
 
OMG this is so scary!
I saw the picture of that poor lady and I'm like touching my hair all crazy like if it was me ahahaha

I feel sorry for her. I probably would've quit my job too. What a sick bastid. I hope they catch him and cut a few things off, see how he likes it.
 
Maybe she should have wore her hair to work in a bun, and wear it out when not at work, but that still don't give the person any right to do that!

Latest news says they have "A person of interest" being questioned. Previous victim worked at a gas station stated he offered to buy her hair for $100.00 but she changed her mind after saying yes but he came back and stole it anyway. The most recent theft videotape shows the same type of transaction and contradicts the hotel victim's story.

weird... i dont see how she would have jus sat there while he came up to her and cut her entire ponytail off.

A 20-year-old Ramsey woman claimed her hair was cut off and taken without her consent over the weekend.
Police have identified a person of interest and said he's being investigated in two other Metro cities for similar cases.
While working the front desk at the Comfort Suites in Ramsey Sunday, Kristine Rippon said a man came in and within minutes, cut off her ponytail, and ran out the door with a foot and a half of hair.
"I walked by and he said can I touch it? I said yeah and he grabbed it. I kind of pulled away and as I was walking away, he said I’m cutting it," Rippon explained.
A witness told Ramsey Police she thought the man paid Rippon for her hair.
Officers have reviewed the hotel’s surveillance video, and said while the two talked about money, none was exchanged.
"He was in there over eight minutes. He had dialogue with her, and they talked about him cutting off her hair. It wasn't a surprise or a sneak attack," said Ramsey Police Chief Jim Way.
However, while Rippon may have been willing to cut her hair at one point, video shows she had second thoughts.
"You can plainly see him standing there with the hair in his hands, she becomes upset and then he exits the building at that time," Way noted.
Rippon told 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS while that's some comfort, she feels violated and wants him caught.
"I was attached to my hair, it was a part of my body. It’s like losing an arm," explained Rippon.
Rippon has since quit her job at the Comfort Suites.
Another woman told 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS she thinks the suspect is the same man who cut her hair off three years ago.
The woman, who did not want to be identified, said the man stopped into the gas station where she worked for a year offering to buy her hair.
"He's like 'well, hey, did you ever think about cutting your hair? I'll pay you for your hair'," she said,
When she finally decided to cut her hair, she took him up on his offer to buy it for $100.
"He showed up at my job with a pair of scissors and hundred bucks and said I'll give you a hundred bucks for your hair," she said. "He cut my hair and was gone. I didn't even see what vehicle he drove up in or anything. He was just kind of gone."
Investigator said at best they will be able to charge the suspect with misdemeanor theft.

Misdemeanor theft. :rolleyes: If he cut off a lhcfer's waist length locks after 5 years of MN, MTG, cowashing, stretching, bunning, and no heat....there might be a first degree murder charge. :grin:

WT? Now that does not make any sense. He needs an ol fashioned AKing....That really sucks. I feel bad for her..
One thing that I can say....is that this may b a good time
for me to be a sister, even if my hair was that long already...that fool would most likely think I have a weave and pass me by...phew...I am still going to keep my hair in a bun though (when the time comes)...
