But I'm sitting here staring at the bottle afraid something crazy will happen if I put it on my scalp. lol Can I use this if I wear my hair down and wrap it at night If I've had it flat ironed at the salon?

My only concern would be if the Capilo and/or Sole are high in protein....... otherwise, it sounds okay.

The MT mix is 'moist', so it might cause your roots to revert from the flat-ironing.... :yep:
 
I add Mt to a sallys 1.99 dye bottle with emu oil, avocado oil, No measuring I just add as much as i can get in the bottle of mt and then I add the oils and shake and go. I spritz my hair with aloe vera juice and water mixture and then I put the MT on my scalp massage it in put my bonnet on and then go to bed. When I first got my twist it was so so tight I used the MT twice a day and it loosen up by 36 hours. then I went back to regular usage I don't get in the bed without doing it. If by chance I forget, I do it before I get in the shower in the morning.

2oz of Amla/Brahmi Oil

I know its not alot but, I was wondering if that's enough and do I need to put more or less oil.

I'd reduce the oils to about 1 oz instead of 2oz. You don't want to dilute the MT too much.

Not when used as directed on the bottle which is to apply it on your freshly washed hair and scalp for 5 minutes and wash out, then apply creme rinse. But if you are using it as a leave-in on your scalp like most of us are doing then you'd want to dilute the strong protein in it by adding some type of carrier oil, especially if you are not washing it out the next morning. I find that regular co-washers use it straight and wash it out the next morning. This way the protein is not on the hair for too long. You'd want to increase your deep conditioning to about 2 times a week though.

I mix mine in one of those dye bottles from Sally's beauty. To that I add, MT, OCT, Black castor oil, coconut oil, and some Carefree Curl. I apply mine everyday when I come home from work. I use to co-wash daily, but the two textures are just too much for me, so I co-wash maybe 3 times a week and apply the mixture. I apply it nightly whether I co-wash or not. I use OCT shampoo once a week. I always leave it on my scalp only until the next co-wash or poo. The mix I mean, not the poo.

Same here, I don't add a thing, lol I'M NOT TRYING TO DILUTE THIS STUFF:lachen:but on a serious note, I part & grease my scalp with MT first then I massage in some CD hair elixir apply whatever my moisture is for that day to the ends, bun & that's it, the next day I do it all again, whether I cowash or not.

At $30 a bottle. It would be more economical for me to use as a daily scalp aid than to waste so much of it slathering in on my hair as a conditioner twice a week. I'll go through that bottle in NO time.

My reggie:
-Cowash w/ cheapie condish
-Deep condition w/ heat
-Apply creamy leave-in
-I ALWAYS rollerset
-After i get from under the dryer, i oil my scalp w/ my Black Castor oil/EO Blend
-I wash 2-3 times a week.

Where would this Mega Tek fit in my reggie? TIA!

I would apply it to the scalp the night before I wash my hair. Especially if I was gonna wash 2-3X weekly
 
i just started using it this morning, it smelled so good I wanted to lick it:grin:, but anyway I just used it right from the bottle, and parted my hair in tiny sections and messgae my scalp afterwards. When I get home I'm going to apply the Mega-tek to dry hair and let it sit for 15 to 30 mins. Then wash out and use my AO honeysuckle condition as a co-wash, rinse out, add my leave-ins, and blowdry on cold setting, then baggie up for bed with my shea butter mix, and seal with my oil mix.

I'm going to do this every other day until the bottle is gone, I hope to have 1 inch in about 1 month! :yep:
 
I have a mix of 4 oz of Mega tek, 2 oz castor oil and 1 oz infused grapeseed oil. So thet is 4 oz MT and 3 oz of oil. Is this mix too diluted? I apply it every other day.

That's almost a 50/50 mix - in my mind, it's a bit too diluted, but I'm also considering going to the pure stuff, so.... I dunno.

Try it out and see what kind of growth you get from it - that'll be the best determiner. :yep:
 
I don't wash my hair weekly.
I do wash and deep condition every 2 weeks.
Can I use mega tek in my hair daily and leave it in?
Has anyone tried this? TIA

can someone answer this question pls...i have a sew-in and only wash/DC every 2 weeks but wanna incorporate MT dilute with oils as a leavein...Thanks
 
I'm going back to MT. I'm considering the following mixes:

1) 3 oz MT with 1 oz Claudie's Elixir (Claudie's Elixir is EVCO based with Sulfur, Pepp Oil, Rosemary Oil, Emu oil, Sunflower Seed Oil, Meadowfoam etc). This is the frontrunner right now
2) 3 oz MT with 1 oz Aloe Vera Juice (it has 21% AV)
3) 3 oz MT with 1 oz of Vatika Oil


What do you ladies think?

I'd go with the #1 mix, personally. The AV might make it too 'damp' (first reaction, I'll have to think about that a bit), and the Vatika Oil might be too drying in combo with the MT. :yep:
