And I absolutely......
Oh my gosh. Where do I begin. I have an event to attend with my SO later this week so I decided to get my hair straightened professionally after work. I decided to go to Groove because it is located close to where I work. Okay, so I call to see who is there and Portia is off on Tuesdays and so is Robin. I ended up scheduling with a nice young lady but she doesn't know how to do hair.
Before I get deep into my rant, they had this desk girl at a "kids table" that had major attitude. When I first got there, I ended up waiting like 15 minutes to go in the back. I was mad because the girl had told me over the phone that I was going to be the only one so I could get in and out. Wrong! So this ghetto or whatever type of desk girl caught an attitude with me and rolled her eyes on the slick when I asked her about "what was going on?!" I ended up going to the back and the girl who did my hair was nice but it came out course looking!
I could have done a much better job myself if that was the case. She also styled my hair like a grandma at the end!
What gives! Portia was also in there with her adorable baby who kept crying and crying and crying and crying and crying all in the beauty salon aka a place of business.
Okay so here's the kicker! When I get to the front, Miss Ghetto girl says "Okay ma'am you owe $95!
I'm like, "What do I owe $95 for?" She's like, "you got a basic shampoo/hydration/and trim!" If anybody know me then yall should already know that this made me see red. It made me angry because they didn't tell me that they were charging me for the hydration. However, the stylist did tell me that I would be charged $20 for a trim or $30 for a cut of course. So I'm like, "I'm not paying no $95 dollars for yall to keep a tip in your pocket!"
Ghetto girl looked surprised and sucked her teeth. "Well ma'am since she didn't tell you then you can just pay $75 dollars!" I looked her dead in the eyes and said, "I wasn't paying no more than that because this service is horrible!" I gave her $80, told her to tip the stylist, and left.
So the next time I need a quick fix, I won't be going there anymore most definitely!
