Thanks y'all!
I don't even know y'all. That shampoo girl PISSED ME OFF.
I clarified and detangled the night before, because I was working with some 12 week post hair, and I knew they were going to comb it out themselves, but I was making it hassle-free. I slapped my DC in, went to bed, early the next morning set out to see the Dominicans.
So she rinses me right? Then she starts talking to the other stylist in spanish, and out of nowhere shampoos me again, tangling my hair ALL UP. But it wasn't as bad as those commercials, so I was like, I'll deal. Then she does a quick condition. Then she parts my hair and shampoos AGAIN. Detangling each time, after tangling my hair, as if it was necessary. So she reconditions. Then she starts TALKING ABOUT ME in Spanish, because the other stylist was looking at me and laughing, and she kept saying conditioner. So I rolled my eyes really hard, and bit my tongue because school starts on Monday and I have to fly back tomorrow and I can't go looking a HAM. So the other stylist is laughing, then says something to the BM that runs the shop who looks at me and goes "Okay, okay." Then the stylists points at me real casually, realized the slip I guess, and played it off.
So now I'm pissed. The shampoo girl brings me to the rollerset chair, sits me down, parts it to rollerset, then says "Come here mami" and shampoos me AGAIN. And I'm sittin' here like, IF YOU WOULD RINSE IT OUT MY NG MORE THOROUGHLY WE WOULDN'T BE GOING THROUGH THIS. But anyways, she rollersets me, giving no care to how hard she was ripping through my hair with that comb.
And I'm telling when she was "detangling" I was SO SURE I was going to be at a barely scraping SL, all broken off and would have to chop back to a healthier NL. I was SO SURE.
So I was sitting under the dryer writing evil stuff in my hair journal to calm myself down, and then when the dryer went off, I requested a different stylist. So the other stylist didn't speak to me on the way out, and I tipped the new one a nice one because she was very kind.
Fortunately, my hair turned out nice.
