VERY interesting!!!!!! Curly vs. Straight!

Sometimes i think those surveys/tests or whatever aren't very accurate. I think what they should do is get a woman each man thinks is completely attractive with straight hair, and then show her with curly hair and then ask them how they feel about them. Because some of those women with curly hair just weren't attractive, and when they showed that lady with curly hair i don't think it was styled very well.

Interesting, the woman can have want she feels comfortable in and I think that men would find her attractive.

That was so interesting... Those were good interview tips, too. Be confident, and don't wear any distractions.

I would also like to see the reactions towards a black woman with natural vs. straightened hair.

I think the guy who gave the reporter a 3 was a jerk! But it's funny how he looked like he knew EXACTLY what he wanted in a woman-- and curly "frazzled" hair wasn't it!

Finally, isn't it weird that she didn't score an 8 or something from most of the guys? She was a pretty lady! Men are so picky...

I thought those men were pretty harsh on her. SHe is a pretty lady and looked nice in both pics. A 3, that's just ridiculous.

I kind of agree that the curly hair looks more low maintenance and less self-centered than straight hair. I think the length played into it a lot too, short straight hair may have the same low maintenance type of impression. With that said, I'm not one to judge a book by its cover, I'm sure she would have changed her review with hair color, glasses, color of blazer, etc. because people are so trained to be superficial.

thanks for posting! i'm not surprised too much by this though. it basically reinforces what we already know about beauty standards (especially that comment about straight hair being seen as an attribute beautiful people have) and socialisation.

I'm sorry...her curls were not well kept. If they had put someone up with well kept curls...I don't think it would have been that big a deal. Her curls don't look like they did when she was younger...they look like they have been damaged from straightening; they look kind of wavy and limp.

i knew a white guy that overlooked a white woman because he didn't like her dark curly hair even though he thought she was cute. He ended up asking out this white woman with straight blonde hair. The couple ended up getting married about two years later and at their wedding she decided to go natural because she had dark curly hair. I thought she looked better with dark curly hair but I know she got more male attention the other way. I often wonder if he would have asked out his wife if she looked the way she did on their wedding. After that I think men are very superfical because aren't people suppose to love you for who you are not what you look like.

I struggle with this. Maybe it is my own insecurity but I feel more polished and put together when I straighten my hair. When I wear it curly I feel more of a free spirit and laid back.

Most people who have seen my hair both ways say that the curly hair fits me and completely matches my personality.

Sarcastically speaking, "No, no, no, don't wear that(curly hair), just be preoccupied with what men and children like!" :lachen:PLease, who cares what men find more attractive, they eventually have to see the real person regardless.:look:
