As you may know – I wanted to get tree braids for several special events and the beginning of School…. The story is here…..

Well, I FINALLY got a response from the stylist…3 weeks later. I am so grateful to see these pics…. I would have commited assault – if my hair turned out like this.

Now I understand why she used other pictures.... Check them out ladies.

http://public.fotki.com/samanthajones67/treebraids--not-on-me/ pw is Trees

Again – this is not me – and I am only posting them to get your input…. Does this look like the treebraids you have seen?
I think I was saved from a hair disaster……..No Worries... I am not keeping my appointment, and I am not keeping the pictures...:nono: This stylist is still practicing.....

Those look like tree braids to me....

Just a REALLY bad version of it. What kind of hair was she using?
Was this one of her practice clients? I've seen a lot of tree braiding styles, but I'm not liking this one so much.

I have tree braids in my avatar (that I did myself) and they look better than that (at least in my opinion), and I don't even braid other people's hair!

Maybe with a little more practice she'll have it mastered????

I dunno. I'm trying.

Awww thanks.
Trust, I didn't do the best job that I could have, but I'm trying.
You know, I bought Kristen Lock's DVD on how to do tree braids. I've seen other people's video's before, but her's was the best.

That's why I ended up having to do my own hair after a while. My mom used to braid and showed me, so it helps. Plus, she used to do something like tree braids WAYYYYY back in the day, but I'm telling you, Kristen's video was pretty good (no I don't know her. LOL).

It seems to be so hard to find any place that does really good tree braids (unless you live in Atlanta it seems).

I wanna see the pics but you have the folder on lock down.

:ohwell:
I gues they are tree braids, but I don't really like them. They look kind of messy. Why are some parts of the hair stick straight?

I wouldn't do it if I were you

Some parts are stick straight because - she did not
work to make sure the ENDS ( the top of bulk hair) was braided in.
Awful job imo.

They look like tree braids to me. I don't the problem even resides with the hair that was used. I think it has to do with the fact that she didn't braid all the way past the clients real hair...which is hard to do with tree braids and folks with longer hair. With the hair being left out it makes it look frizzy.

They look like tree braids to me. I don't like the knots at the top and the hair texture is different all over (like a bad texlax).

They are tree braids just a bad job IMO. She doesn't seem to be skilled with the type of hair that she used. I've had treebraids twice now and mine have never looked like that.

With this style - the client's hiar is cornrowed down.. There is not hair left out except extension hair.

She's got a lot more practicing to do.
Parts of it are curly and other parts stick out straight.
Disaster avoided. I hope she did that woman's hair for free.
