I would like to try out that recipe that you use for coconut oil and indian powders, but I can't seem to find the thread for it.

I realized my mom gave me a crock pot a year ago (one of those old school ceramic kind) that has a low and high setting.

What exact measurements did you use in the recipe? I know I can come up with my own measurements, but I would like to try out yours first before I venture out on my own.

isn't it in her Fotki?
If not try the hair recipe section...
If all else fails, send her a pm. I'm sure she wouldnt
mind sharing it again

Groovy,
When are you going to make it?
Come back and tell us how it turned out.
Glad you found it sweetie.

I finished it. But I guess since it's neem oil, it turned out very murky green with a slightly burnt smell. I think I left it in the crock pot too long. I mixed in a cup of castor oil, 1/2 cup of neem powder, a couple of drops of vitamin e, honey and tea tree oil and 3 tablespoons of grapeseed oil. I'm planning on mixing it with some aloe vera gel and use it on my face.

Sorry, I've been playing over in the other forums a lot lately. Glad you found the recipe. If yours smells burnt the crock pot might have been set a little too high. Sometimes even the "keep warm" setting is too high.

Yes , even on low setting, the pot was really warm. I managed drain it until I was able to separate the burnt powder from the oil.
