Boooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo :lachen::lachen:

I'm also going to say that only 1 product worked for me..everything else is overrated.

If yall watch and hear me on tv just be ready :lachen::lachen::lachen:

Tis all...

I'm laughing already thinking about hearing you on TV saying something. Then I'm gonna be the second caller saying the same thing. OVERRATED!!

:giggle: We need to tag team them :lachen::lachen:

I have only heard one time in history where a negative comment was able to get out live. They cut that caller off so quick it wasn't even funny :lachen:

I always wondered about that! How do they screen negative calls? Do they have a 10 second delay. I know they screen them first but that could be a ploy just to get through.

Did that happen during prime time or wee hrs in the morning?

Carol's Daughter Customer service sucks! I only use 2 things from her line and I got them from Macy's. Very overrated and i have learned that there are MANY other real natural products that are better than hers from being on this board.

The last time she was on the air, she only had about 10 products to sell. WTF? You KNEW this was a nationally publicized TV event.

She's so unprofessional to me.:nono:

Hmmm, i can't recall what time of day/night it was but i remember the guy was pissed :lachen::lachen::lachen: He was mad because the vendor that was on had horrible customer service or something. It was funny!!

How you gonna go on tv and have only 10 products? They must have stretched the heck out of the time with each of those :lachen::lachen::lachen:

I don't like the hair products, but I love the smell goods - "Ecstacy" is one of my signature scents :yep:

OT - SouthernTease I love your hair!

I wanna call too!!!!:look:

Im gonna suggest that if you are interested in the HHB, you would be better off saving your money and buying some corn oil since that's all it is.

Aww...:nono:

I'm pretty disappointed to hear of such crappy reviews. I'd hoped Carol's Daughter had some good products.

They certainly look good.

I was going to order...but after hearing negative reviews from practically everyone....

When I was transitioning i bought the hair milk with my Sephora gift card that i got for my grad present....

I am upset... Wait til I see Carol or her daughter:angry2:... someone need to throw $20 back on my darn giftcard

Worst products I've ever bought. I was a pj way before I joined here and I bought a whole bunch of her stuff. I wish I had known then what I know now. Her loc butter (or whatever it's called) had my twists looking like a hot greasy mess and the elixir is just olive oil with some peppermint in it.

Her hair products are a horrible waste of money.

I heard it was until her business went "commercial" and expanded:perplexed. i think her products were of better quality when she first arrived on the scene. There were a lot of LHCFers back in '03 always raving about her products. Now her products are getting dogged right and left:look:

I believe you are right, because the consistency of the HHB and hair milk has changed and my hair does not like the products any more! I was so disappointed because initially I really did like her products...especially the hair milk. Oh well, thanks to the ladies here I found way better products at a fraction of the cost!

Hey - if she was doing GREAT - they would not be on HSN.

That stuff SUCKS big Time.:nono: Pumped full of parabens and says "all Natural". What an Insult.

Well, ok - The shampoo inspired me to make my own, so - not a total loss, I guess.

Could be because people want a Black woman's company to be successful. I would like that as well, but when the product is sub-par...

Her almond sugar cookie spray smells nice? :look:

Yep... I dropped $100+ when the line first came out
and I really really wanted to love it... even though it
sucked I used it all up... NEVER NEVER NEVER AGAIN!!!

I hear at Essence their set up had a crazy ridiculous line...
good for her

That Milk is the Greasiest Stuff on the PLANET!

Like you Southern Tease - I plunked down 90 bucks - and got teeeeeenie weeeeny bottles. I thought - "LAWD - this must be the Bees Knees"

NO WAY - that Stuff was the worst. NEVER NEVER.................

From the Smell to the effectiveness - that stuff IMO - is like any other Drugstore Brand.
:nono:

I used that line when she was making it herself in her brownstone. None of the products stayed in my collection.

I think this is also what happens when you bring these big time investors into your business.

Trust me Jay Z and the crew are all about business and they want to see those profits.

But, I think she's still a awesome sistahpreneur!!

This was true for me with the hair milk as well. It's a shame.

I have one of the old catalogs and I was saddened by how much it has changed. She has/had one girl there with phone ordering named Melody who was top notch. But the email customer service dept sucks big time. I was a seriously customer a few years ago but I haven't ordered in awhile now. My dh loves the green tea spray so as soon as it comes back, I will be getting it since I still have a credit there from something I didn't receive. Oh well, I will just support the ladies from this board and their product lines. Q

I use her Rosemary Mint shampoo and like it. Has anyone ever called her CS directly and complained about the products and what it's doing/not doing to their hair??

Remember back in the day when HHB first came out? It said to keep in the refrigerator. She changed the recipie. I still like and buy HHB and Mimosa Hair Honey. I also like the Tui Hair Oil (but it is practically the same formula as profectiv oil). I use the HHB when I am airdrying and I use the Mimosa Hair Honey when when I flat-iron my hair. That's all I use. A lot of people like the "smoothie" conditioners but there are so many others out there that I like better. I bought the Rosemary shampoo too, and I like the tingles, but I don't really use it often. I poured the Hair Milk down the drain (after one use) and am now using that bottle for coconut oil. I don't know anyone who would like that stuff.

So basically, my main staples are HHB and Mimosa Hair Honey. I like the Rosemary Shampoo and may buy it again.

I guess I'm in the minority, but the few Carol's Daughter's products I've tried, I like. I have the Almond Cookie body oil, Almond Cookie body spray, and the Lisa's Hair Elixir (hair oil). I like the Hair Elixir, as it leaves my hair very soft when I seal my leave-in cond. with it on wet hair.I tried using coconut oil to seal on wet and it didn't work as well (coco. oil works best on my dry hair). I guess I could make my own oil blend, lol, but I'm lazy, plus the amount for jojoba oil just alone is almost the same price as the Lisa's Hair Elixir.

I usually buy her products from either the store in Harlem or Sephora.

I tried the Hair Milk (I received free samples), and I liked it. It did what it was supposed to do. However, I always use a little bit, like a dime sized amount on half of my hair, didn't get the greasiness factor folks complain about.

The one reason I like Carol's Daughter is that she took this small home-run company and expanded it to the point that Brad Pitt is praising her stuff. It's just inspiring to see any company do that and even more so b/c it was started by a Black woman.

Now, I won't go out and drop money on the shampoos and con's (too little for too much money), but the oils are good to me :).

(I've never dealt with their customer service, so I have no comment on that.)
