Sabino Moisture BlockCan someone tell what is SMB please?
Absolutely beautiful! From the first to the last pic, I loved it!
Wow, it's like your hair styled itself over time. Absolutely gorgeous. Bravo. And THANK you for sharing!
Okay wait wait, I have a few questions. I love love love your curls by the way and I was just about to start a thread about this. I CANNOT for the life of me get the darn curls to stay. The first time I experiemented on dry hair and the curls came out looking awesome, but by the time I made it work only the ends were still curly, so I thought maybe it was b/c of the humidity and the fact that it was dry/unwashed hair. Fast forward a week and I tried it again. This time I freshly relaxed, so I washed, DC, and then did it as if I was doing Macherie's rollerset. It was a horrid experience, hair being rooted out in clumps, all sorts of tangling and unnecessary tugging; and then when I took it out the next morning, I hated the curl. It was too tight and the hair wasn't soft, but extra crunchy. And still the curls didn't last.
So tell me, what do I need to do? Where can I get this SMB stuff and how does it work? My biggest concern is when I sleep at night, how do you tie your head so that you don't smash the curl?
Here's a pic of my curls on dry hair:

Your curls wore beautifully! I bet you got tons of compliments!
FYI, I found that I could curl my hair at night to prolong the style even more. I'd just set the curls vertically, either pinned or with small plastic rollers. I found that kept the look fresher for a little longer.
Each and every pic is beautiful. I love the "big hair" photos. Then again ... I love big hair.
You are making me regret taking them back.![]()
Your results are beautiful!
AngelDoll, I love all of them
Now you have a sister clutching her pocketbook,
"will not buy Curlformers",

AngelDoll, why girl, why?![]()

Very very nice.. I haven't used my curlformers in a min because I kept having broken hairs. I may revisit them and try to be a bit gentler.
I did not have any breakage at all. Be sure not to try and pull too much hair through the curlformer.
I was just coming to post in this thread....
I didn't have any breakage last nite. I did it on SOAKING wet hair, I think that made the difference. Plus I used smaller sections.
How did you seperate the curls to break up the parts? Or did you just let them do their own thing? I hope that question makes sense... like when you remove the curlformers and you see all your parts... did you do something like use a rat tail comb to break them up?
Thank you so much! The bolded parts are the key to successfully using the curlformers, IMO.
I did not separate the curls, over time, they just separated on their own.
But you probably can separate them gently with a rattail comb or your fingers.
