I've tried Kenra MC, but to be honest, I wasn't that impressed :perplexed
Did I perhaps use it wrong, bc sooo many ladies seem to love this stuff! How do you use it? Anyway, I'm still on the hunt for a super duper moisturizing condish - which one works best for you?

I have not tryed any on these, so I don't know how they would do on my hair. I'm trying to beat my pjism.:lachen:

I have tryed plenty of others, and they don't seem to do much for my hair. I like to leave a little in as a leave in. The one I have went back to is Naked Naturals Citrus scent. When I leave some in, it leaves my hair so soft, and moist all day. I use Sea butter mix ,with a little oil added, as a sealant now. Oils of any kind I have noitced leave my hair very hard and crunchy. That my have something to do with my softness.

Kenra MC :yep:

Some people have great results using it with heat, others get better results when just keeping it on for a few minutes in the shower. My hair loves both ways :D

I haven't tried any of the others, don't really want to. The only two I'd like try on that list is AO HSR and Joico Moisture Recovery Balm. Never really had the desire to try KeraCare Humecto, since it has lanolin or petroleum or something. That turned me off of it completely. Kenra dosn't need all of that cheap crap and fillers to get the job done, and I don't need to buy a 5 lb jug to get a better formula :ohsnap:

I read one review of Aveda Dry Remedy, and it wasn't a very glowing review, so I'll pass

Hands down: i fell in love with Hydratherma Naturals Moisture Deep Conditioner. It leaves my hair incredibly soft and smells wonderful. Nothing like ppl complimenting on how great your hair smells.

I use that to co wash, pretty good stuff! I like using it as a leave in, too :yep:

Their Awapuhi conditioner sucks eggs, though :perplexed

Thanks for the heads up. I was looking at another one in that brand. The store I get it at only has 2 kinds. I'm gonna stink with this one since it does so good.

I haven't used any of the conditioners in the poll so I can't give any advice on those. My favorite moisturizing conditioners are Giovanni Smooth as Silk and Oyin Honey Hemp Conditioner. Wen cleansing conditioners are perfect for cowashes and leave my hair very moisturized (and it seems thicker too).

I like the Joico Moisture Revcovery Balm with or without heat. I'm not a PJ so I haven't tried anything else listed beside the Keracare.

Keracare was an okay product, but my Joico's the very best I've come across.

KeraCare Humecto w/ EVOO and silk amino acids, is my fav right now :yep::yep::yep:
  • It's still awesome w/o the SAA & EVOO
NTM Hair Mask almost feel like Humecto

Aubrey Organics Honeysuckly Rose is the sun, the moon, and the stars for me:grin: I mix in some EVCO, jojoba, and sweet almond, and then I bake....ooopppsss I mean DC w/heat.......for 30min. My 4a/4b hair is the softest, smoothest, thing I have ever ever felt. Oh my goodness, and the smell is like.....mmmmmmmmmmm:lick:

Aubrey Organics all the way!!:yep:

Aubrey Organics HSR is my favourite. I am trying to use up all the other stuff I have so I can stick to just Aubrey's.

I chose Other.

I have a condish mix that gives, shine, nourishment, strength, softness, and LOTS of slip. Here is the mix:

1-2 tablespoons of each (Depending on length)
Hollywood Olive Oil Cholesterol
KeraCare Humecto
Honey
Adore Crystal Clear Rinse

I mix all this up, apply it my clean shampooed hair, put on a conditioning cap, sit under the dryer for 30 minutes to 1 hour. This mix is my heart and I don't have to moisturize my hair for at least another 5-6 days.

Agreed. I am in love with Aubrey Organics Honeysuckle Rose conditioner and regret not trying it sooner. I have been using it straight (nothing added) using a plastic cap for 1 hour or so (no heat) but I feel the results immediatlely after applying. I plan to try it with heat soon.

I have tried many a conditioner in the last 7 months and so far Aubrey Organics Honeysuckle Rose is giving me the most amazing results.

I have tried Nexxus Humectress, KeraCare, Suave Humectant (no slip), Giovanni 50:50 Balanced Conditioner, VO5 strawberries & cream, VO5 Kiwi lime, VO5 Free Me Freesia (which smells like cheap cologne), Herbal Essences Hello Hydration, Herbal Essences Long Term Relationship (the leave in is fantastic), Herbal Essences None of Your Frizziness, Herbal Essences Break's Over, Optimum, Nioxin, Garnier Sleek & Shine Conditioner, Victoria's Secret Nourishing condish, VS Balancing condish, June Jacobs Citrus and now Aubrey Organics - which I LOVE!!!!!

I have a huge bottle of EVOO that I plan to use to add to my other conditioners so that I can use them up and make some space in the shower caddy.

I love Aubrey's HSR. It makes my hair feel so soft wet and dry. While I don't think it's very 'slippery' like the ORS replenishing pak, I don't mind, b/c those other cons rely on chemicals to do that...

My hair loves Nexxus Humectress, I leave it for hours at times when I am busy at home. :)

I use to use Humecto when I was bone straight but when I transition over to texturized Humecto stopped working for me :(

ITA. My hair was super soft while Kenra MC was in, but once I rinsed it out, it was like I used some "average" conditioner. :perplexed My hair was not happy. Kenra MC worked better for me when I added jojoba oil to it. But either way, it can't top Aubrey Organics White Camellia. My hair always feels moisturized, and has lots of slip. I never need/use a leave-in when I use AO conditioners.

Aubrey Organics Honey Suckle Rose or GPB (add oils) :woot:
Motions Moisture Plus (add oils) :superbanana:
Verifen Complex Advanced Conditioning Treatment :dance7:

I must concurr with those who chose Aubrey Orgnics White Camillia Ultra-Smoothing Conditoner....it made my hair so soft after an over night DC...it feels like butta...and there is not a spec of protein in this stuff!! I had to go back into my stash archive to find it. It's my new moisture fav!!:yep:

This is a good conditioner for co-washing if you do not want any protein.

I haven't tried the deep conditioning mask yet, but I'm going to soon enough.
This was a close runner-up.

But, this is the moisturizing. MOP Extreme Moisture.

i perused the vitamin shoppe and now i know where i can get the AO HSR, which i really want to try. i have never really heard anything bad about this...

but my #1 boo is kenra mc. i love it mixed with john frieda brunette and clear glazes...i do this and sit under the dryer for 30 min and BAM!!! f it is a non-heat day i warm up some honey and add that to it, then let it marinate under a plastic cap for an hour or two. while my hair doesnt like this combo, i added honey, raw shea butter, EVOO, and castor oil to it then applied it to my sister's coarse 4b hair, and it was sooooo soft afterwards. mine felt kinda dry afterwards, but i will use nothing else on her when she needs a really good DC. (on lazy days where i am DCing her hair just because i use one of the lustrasilk cholesterols, and those are ok)

I love her products. I have my eyes on this.

KeraCare humecto is the only salon quality conditioner I use the most from the list. It does a pretty good job on my hair, but that's not to say I won't be trying some of the other ones too! I am amazed that you ladies are so well informed about whats out there to help us with our hair. I am always learning something new!!!!
