I'm kind of tired of fooling with my hair these days:perplexed Does anybody have these kind of phases? What did you do to get out of your hair-funk?

Feel free to post any hairstyle pics I might try...maybe that will motivate me:rolleyes: lol

When I don't feel like messing with my hair, I mess with it even more. Even if it's as simple as co-washing, dc'ing, and baggying. I don't want to neglect my hair and it's progress..

I am not tired of my hair just yet, i just started my hair care journey and i cannot go a day without wrapping and unwrapping and just massaging my scalp

I feel like this a lot.
I just put it in individual braids with extensions and by the time they have to come out I can't wait to see my hair again!

either i do something to my mom or sister's hair

OR i start a new hair project. last time this happened i researched how to do kinky twists; next time i will learn to cornrow without it looking a HAM, and if it happens again i will learn to do my own weaves. i figure by then i will be BSL...lolll

I wear a half wig when I start to get bored so I can get a change w/o doing anything drastic to my hair.

I think the summer weather makes a lot of people feel like this. It's too much trouble to deal with hair and heat and etc. in the summer. Braid it up or do what I do -- get some cute hats, ponytail holders, hairclips etc and go low maintenance.

When I get annoyed w/ my hair, I usually focus on something else for a while like my fitness, cooking, fashion, spirituality, etc. I'll still do my weekly dc's, but I just don't spend alot of time/energy on my hair besides the basic care (moisturizing, tying it up at nite). :yep: Usually by the time I'm ready to get back on my hair kick, my hair is doing BETTER because I've left it alone.

HTH!

thanks ladies! i think i'll just focus on some other things...like my work-out plan, and job search:rolleyes: but still keep my hair pinned up/moisturized...and dc'ed...thanks for your advice...and the websites...off to look at hype hair now:drunk:hhg

I just got out of my hair funk after approx. 8 months, and now I'm back on track with moisturizing and more co-washes. I was frustrated with my hair and fell off my regimen. Shedding and breakage shocked me back to reality.

I've been thinking of getting a curly one for the Fall/Winter. :yep:

I don't know about bored and lazy, but I'm style challenged. Instead of stressing myself about it by trying to do elaborate styles I just put it in a bun, braided bun, or a braid, and forget about it. The last time I tried to learn to cornrow I literally broke out in hives from the stress. No more.:nono:
