It was my fault- I was on vacation and wasn't paying attention. Now my scalp is sunburned! Actually its just the top of my center part and I don't have any blisters, but its rather tender up there.:wallbash:

Has this happened to anyone else? And will it affect my hair in that area?

Oh my goodness....use Aloe Vera gel....that should alleviate the blisters and soothe your scalp...and help it to heal. I've never had this happen to me because when I go to the Caribbean..I always make sure I use lots of conditioner on my hair and its massaged into my scalp.

I do hope you get better soon.

Thanks for the response Nice & Wavy. I'm sure the aloe vera will soothe the tenderness down and hopefully moisturize my scalp so that my hair won't shed.

I know you know this, but it bears saying. Try not to manipulate that area for a while. Put it in a protective bun or something.

And be sure to leave a sun protection kit in the car:

have a hat or scarf
extra pair of sunglasses
aloe vera gel and sunblock 1000 or the highest you can find. :lachen:

Always keep these things in the car or a big bag so when you go out you will be able to get to them.

Take care of yourself.
