Many of us love hair accessories.
As long as you're not wearing cartoon characters on your hair clips I say go for it.

I even put wooden beads on the ends of my cornrows sometimes. I get many compliments.

I say 15 years is the age when you should stop wearing hair accessories. When I think accessories, I picture bright colored (pink, yellow, etc), plasticky clips, and such and ribbons in the hair and whatnot.

I am 30+, I wear my hair accesories. I have gotten a lot of compliments too. I love wearing the flower accesory to play up my hair. I also try to wear really nice scarves to match my outfits when I wear my Afro Puff.

A large amount of the hair accessories are made for the "older" crowd, so no worries. As long as you aren't wearing bo-bows, I don't see the problem. Even if you were, it's your business.

Hair accessories are not only for kids. Wear what you want in your hair. My daughter's Little Mermaid Barrettes don't appeal to me personally. But if I liked them, you better believe I'd wear them.

I totally agree...as long as it suites your personality go for it.

I think it depends on the accessory and how it's worn. I would where a elegant ponytail holder or a piece with stones or pearls, maybe a nice clip. I would where my hair in a mature style opposite (teeny bopper). Big up's to teenagers on LHCF. Just try to be age appropriate .

uh hats are hair accessories too so I don't think your ever too old for hair accessories. I think some maybe age appropriate though. We don't want you looking like Neicy Irvin w/50-11 child barrettes and ponytails in your late 30's.

I do not think there is an age limit but a 40 something coworker did look like her 9 year old yesterday with her head FULL of little jeweled barretts. She had at least 8 little ponytails and clips. I have no idea why though since her daughter was not at the office (which she is sometimes around holidays).

That's right. I'll sit up here with a mega jumbo super size flower and be like "say something!" And if they do, oh well! That's why they have their head to decorate (or not) and I have mine. And you right, the older one gets (at least me), the less one is like "i hope they think i look alright".

But for real, for more main stream folks, I think hair accessories are okay, even jeweled ones, as long as there's just one or two and they aren't like those plastic animal shaped barrettes or something. Even big elaborate jeweled ones, I've seen older women (and a lot older) wearing their hair in an updo with a rococo hair clip. It's all good.
