This is my first time having access to a line of hair products before it's official release. I haven't tried it yet, but I'll try it today or tomorrow. I'll also post the ingredients if someone tells me that they have not been posted already. By the way, I went to Scott J's salon in Morningside Heights/Harlem (NYers can correct me on this) on Broadway, and the salon has had it in stock for a few days.

Ohhh looking forward to your review- recently decided to go all Aveda all the time (well aside from nexxus Humectress)

There was another post about this and a couple people returned the line, they said it was too thin and not moisturizing enough. Please post your review, I'm interested in more opinions. :look:

I stopped by Aveda and got some free samples of the poo, conditioner and DT while out of town, it was not the business. I won't be purchasing.

My friend is RAVING NON STOP about this stuff. She is natural (4a) & told me about Aveda Dry Remedy a few days ago. She lives in Kansas City, Kansas and said that the Aveda sales person asked her to come back to be a spokesperson on the weekend. She uses almost exclusively Aveda products.

oh the confusion. About 5 bad reviews to one

I guess we all gotta try it for ourselves, because when you think about it , some of the RAVES suck and some of the not so biggies we love

I guess as always, our hair decides

I dont think i can even ask for a sample because I know it wont be enough for me to judge.

I'm sticking with herbal essences conditioners, CON, Scurl, aloe vera gel & coconut oil. Redken & Aveda are too expensive for me to even experiment.

gurlll you aint lyin

Thats why alot of us want reveiws galore first

Aveda Stores, you get your money back though, but I would be ordering online prolly , what a pain in the *blank* to get it that way and not like it

i love the shampoo and like the conditioner. it didnt do much for me but i think thats because of that awful ojon that messed up my hair first so i will try the conditioner again.

They've had it at Scott J's for a few days?!? Girl that's right down the street from me. I normally get my aveda from there. I'm wondering if I should get a treatment done there first as is recommended. Have you ever had your hair done there?

^^^I'm sorry. You scared me from trying it on my six-week post hair. (I have about 8wks of NG because of the summer growth spurt). I'll update as soon as I try it.

I was eyeballing this stuff on the site, its there now

I'm still unsure if im'a get it

everybody saying the conditioner gives no slip but Aveda making big promises about it ending dryness in percentages and everything

My sister and I both bought this line last weekend. My sister is 100% natural and I'm 16 months into my transition to natural. We both used the shampoo and the treatment masque.

My sister HATED it. It did absolutely nothing for her 4a/4b hair. Dare I say her hair seemed even DRIER after using it (LOL). I even made sure that she clarified her hair prior to using it so she would have a clean slate to work with. Still ... nada, zip, zilch. She called Aveda and asked them if you're supposed to see improvements on the first try and the sales girl told her that they recommend people try it at least 3 times before returning the product. She's going to try it again, but she's not holding out much hope.

Now as for me, it worked JUST OK on my 3c/4a hair natural hair, but my relaxed ends seemed to like it a little better. It was just mediocre, but that's all. For the amount of money they charge, I'm gonna need more spectacular results ... and this just didn't deliver. I've received better results from cheapie conditioners like V05 or Suave or stuff I've whipped up in my friggin' kitchen.

Bottom line: IMHO, this line is not worth the hefty price tag. Maybe it works better on relaxed hair. :ohwell:

I just used the poo and the mask. I'm giving this line a . I'm very fond of Aveda products anyways, so I was real excited to try this. I'm not saying its like using CON green on your hair, but Aveda typically takes a couple of uses to 'infuse' into the strands making it work over time.

I will continue to use Dry Remedy, alternating with my beloved Damage Remedy line. I'm excited too, I know that both lines will have my hair in fabulous conditon this year!!

Ooohhhh, I love this line. It works great on my hair, I just don't use it too much because I'm trying to save it because it is soooooooo expensive. But, the shampoo for me leaves my hair very soft, and the treatment and the conditioner is fab...for me.

I see also that they have different packaging for it now.

i like the brilliant conditoner waaaaaaaaay better than this one. the brilliant is very moisturizing however i will use the dry remedy until it runs out. i doubt if i repurchase. i think redkeens all soft line is much better. but i do love the damage remedy line:lick:

I got a sample of the conditioner and the mask at the Aveda salon and I have to say I am not impressed :(.

I love Aveda's Damage Rememdy line and it saved me from going nuts over my hair last year. This line seems more moisturizing to me than the Dry Remedy. I really wanted it to work, but I don't see myself pruchasing Dry Remedy anytime in the near future.

i returned my dry remedy shampoo and conditioner and some straightening balm they had. i exchanged it for my beloved Brilliant conditioner and the carribean wash and lotion:lick:. that stuff is amazing.

I went to aveda last week and the salesperson was trying hard to get me to buy the product and had the nerve to tell me my hair was dry. I was so pissed. I went in to buy my DR shampoo and this is what she said to me. I said if you have a sample sure I'll try it, but of course she didn't.

I hear you about being upset. Once when I visited the Aveda salon near me to purchase the Aveda Be Curly Curl Enhancer (I had just done the BC), the salesclerk had the nerve to say to the stylist "The customer has really coarse hair" :nono:. Um, excuse me? Did you even touch my hair to determine its texture? These women need to become more educated about hair when dealing with a wide variety of hair types.
