So basically you were jacklaxed and decided to go natural. Embrace the terms they are your friends.

ok so what's the difference between a texturizer and texlexing. y don't they just do the texturizer thing. is it supposed to be milder? I mean texlexing wouldn't u risk messing up and going bone straight
Highjacking for a moment.....Iris your siggy is beautiful, I want a picture of my hair like that. Lurve ur hair!
whats in my siggy I cant even see it! lol
Thank you girl! I didnt think there was anything in my siggy

The responses would have been different if she had said "I honestly would like clarification on why people call themselves texlaxed when they are just relaxing. Is it just because they are going from natural to relaxing and just don't want to claim it? I know some might get upset at the question, but that's fine."I don't see why some people are getting uptight about the op's question. Geez! Maybe the question should have went in the dumb question thread. Maybe most of the responses would have been different. Idk.
Theres no such thing as texlaxing, its a relaxer!!! you are now relax, whats wrong with saying that you are relax. There are naturals, people who get texturizer which are still chemicalsand then there are people who are relax, IMO, I think people who go from natural to relax dont want to come to terms that they are relaxing again, oh i'm going to just texlax, sweetie you are relaxing, you're no more natural..... Can someone please set this straight.... I know i'm going to get some mean responses, but whatever...

It's hilarious, isn't it?I don't care what y'all say, I LOVE these threads. bonelaxed, bonedlaxed, jacklaxed. I'm going to be using these terms in every day life from now on, and I wouldn't have any of it if not for this thread. I'm bumping this puppy up with a 5-star rating!
oh, here's a real question. why choose to underprocess a relaxer instead of using something specifically to "texturize"? Is there any difference in results?

Are we seriously inventing new terminology? So umm since being a true natural means putting no chemicals AT ALL in the hair, what do you call a permanent color? Colorlaxed? I don't know someone educate me.
*walks out the thread confuddled.*

i don't really see the problem, i think texlaxing or texturizing are more accurate to describe the technique and the look people are trying to acheive.Theres no such thing as texlaxing, its a relaxer!!! you are now relax, whats wrong with saying that you are relax.
