Alright, so about 2 weeks ago, I had my hair trimmed and my ends were looking flawless! My current regimen does not include heat at all, so after I Deep condition, I let my hair slightly air dry and then i baggy with Wave Nuevo and seal with Coconut oil. My hair is super soft and moisturized, but my ends are so frizzy and raggedy looking! They haven't been breaking, they just really look bad.

I did a search and found that I may be using too much product. I usually apply like 2 nickel size amounts to my head, but maybe that's too much. Any other suggestions? The goal is to have hydrated neat ends!

It sounds like it may be too much product. When baggying, a little definitely goes a long way. Also, if you aren't already doing so, make sure you're finger combing product thru then either twist or braid you pony. Also, sometimes baggying damp ends can cause over moisturization. At least in my experience.

I experienced that when I used product. I use only natural stuff like coconut oil or aloe vera gel on wet or damp hair. Something light and natural. I think the problem lies with buildup or something that the hair can't absorb in the product. This is just my observation with my own hair. Once I strayed away from using product to baggy, my ends have been wonderful. Knot and tangle free every time. HTH.

If you're using two nickel sizes for your whole head, too much product isn't the problem. A lot of people experience problems when baggying with damp/wet hair. Let your hair fully airdry, then put on your moisturizer. Don't put so much that your hair is damp, a little goes a long way when baggying. Even if it doesn't feel like it's enough, it is. Fully dry first then baggy, and see if that works for you :)

Also, try braiding or twisting your hair, then wrapping it around in a bun before putting on the baggy. When you take the baggy off, your ends will be moisturized, smooth and wavy :yep:

May I ask why do you air dry and baggie? I am a 24/7 baggier and have been doing it for almost 3 years. Here are my steps:
1.) Wash and dc hair.
2.) Apply leave in
3.) Smooth hair into a ponytail
4.) Apply coconut oil/grease
5.) Seal with black castor oil
6.) Baggie ends/the whole length of your ponytail
7.) Put silk scarf on and let hair airdry....

If you do this method, I GUARANTEE you will not have frizzy ends and your ends will be flawless!!!!!

Oh the light bulb just went off, I need to try baggie-ing with just pure aloe and see what I wake up with... I've been doing herb oils and I love it although I HATE sleeping with a plastic bag on my head....:ohwell: (I do it because it's good for me)

You know what, you might be right because I generally let my hair air dry until it's at about 75%, then i start applying the products. Good catch!

Great Suggestions ladies...I'm geeked :yay:! I want to wash tonight just so I can start over fresh!

Here goes that word "Aloe" again! I'm trying to lay off the products, but it keeps popping up all over the place. That might be my next product to try.

How do your ends dry if you have a baggy on them?

ME TOO!!!!

All right y'all!! So, I modified my baggie method to find that yes I was using WAAYYY to much product!! Tiffers, you were right a little does go a long way. We want the ends moist, and not wet. I only use one nickel and that seems to be sufficient. Thanks for the suggestion!

tsmith, I modified your steps because I don't have the black castor oil and my hair turned out perfectly :yep:! I'm so geeked.

Thanks so much for your tips ladies!
