I was unfriended on fotki!!!!

Why did I get an email telling me this though? I'm not sure if I wanna know every time someone does this

Have you ever "unfriended" someone on fotki? Why did you do it?

What are some of the reasons people become "unfriended"? I guess it's just a personal thing...lol

I got unfriended twice and wondered the same thing.

In a way I kind of figured maybe since I've changed paths on my journey they didn't wanted to be tempted to do so since i was natural and now i am relaxed.

I'd rather not know when I'm unfriended

I have un-friended people....nothing personal but I have a lot on my friends list and I like to keep it cleaned up. If I've had the person on my list for ages and they never update or reply to anything or if I don't visit the page much anymore I will unfriend but again it's not personal.

I wouldn't take it personally. Sometimes people may just be cleaning up their fotki and maybe only keeping people they know well. Or like the above poster said when people take different paths things change as well. I just read on a thread where a lady said she unfriended some people because she was trying to transition and didn't want to be tempted by the relaxed ladies. Also when people close their fotki I think that may affect friends too, I'm not sure though.

I have never unfriended someone b4 but I can give a few scenerios why/how that could happen

1.) The person could have liked that person they unfriended initially ( no homo) and then maybe the unfriended person typed something on the boards that the person did not like so the person goes and unfriend them. I can see that happening....
2.) The unfriended person could have could have possibly been a friendly poster on the boards and then turned out to be a internet troll....

Those could be a few reasons.....I'll tell ya...there are a few ladies on here who were initially sweet hearts and then they just do a 360 and start posting negatively and I'm like so I'm just saying.....erplexed those could be some reasons....

ETA: Yes, 1) and 2) basically means the same thing, just reworded...LOL......

I have also unfriended people for the same reason but I didn't really know that it sends notifications.

I think I just unfriended a few people yesterday for those reasons.

When I first started on fotki I was friending everyone, then I realized how I wanted to use my friend list and I've been making modifications ever since.

The reason why I "befriend" someone is so I don't have to click around to see their page, I can just go to my own friends list and click to get to someone elses page.... for me, it's out of pure laziness

Awww thanks! At first I thought, maybe someone had a question I didn't answer..?? I try to always answer questions but sometimes the fotki thing gets kind of hard to keep up with....

That's a good point about how you changed journeys and maybe someone didn't want to be tempted....
