Is there a product that you can deep condition with that does not have such high amounts of protein, or is that even possible?

ORS Replenishing Pak doesn't have much protein, it's very low on the ingredients list.

NTM Daily Deep Conditioner is great too:yep:

I can think of a few that I've used...

Elucence Moisture Balance
Elasta QP Intense
Elasta QP DRP-11
KeraCare Humecto

I haven't used these but I think they're all moisturizing without protein as well...

Kenra MC
Motions Mositure Plus

I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong.

How about silk elements intense moisture treatment. I don't think this has a lot of protiens in it....please correct if I am wrong ladies....used it for the first time after a fresh relaxer THIS PAST WEEKEND.. I LOVEEED IT!!

Or you can make your own.

Mix any moisturizing conditioner with aloe vera gel and honey.

(I also add some oil, but that was not in the original recipe)

Warm in microwave, apply to hair with plastic cap and heat.

Results? Serious moisture.

If I remember correctly it's got no protein, or very little. I add honey to mine, and oil sometimes. I get under my soft bonnet cap and I am so good to go. My hair loves it, and it's really the only dc that I use. :grin:

I was wondering the same thing. Thanks for all the options. I think I will start with elasta Qp first. Although I have heard great things about NTM.

OT: NigerianGirl your hair is soooo thick and beautiful. WOW!

i looooooovvvvvvvvveeeeeeeee redken all soft heavy cream and keracare humecto. i also like mizani moisturefuse.

KENRA MC!!! :pepper: :pepper: :pepper: Super-duper moisturizing!

Aubrey Organics Island Naturals and Desert Aloe & Jojoba are good and moisturizing. Ojon has a Hemp and Honey conditioner that sounds great. Freeman's Sea Kelp Moisturizing Conditioner is really good. Silk Elements Cholesterol and Silk Elements Luxury Moisturizing Conditioner are great too. My hair hates protein, so I have to pretty much stick to moisturizing conditioners :yep:

:yep::yep:

Also remember that some proteins help give your hair moisture like wheat protein.

Can you give product examples?? :look:

Well Kenra MC is one. It has alot of wheat protein but that kind of protein helps moisturize your hair.

Aubrey Organics Honeysuckle and Rose, White Camellia and Island Naturals are other ones too. They are very creamy and thick.

Redken Butter Treat is a nice moisturizing conditioner, very thick and you don't need much as is Joico Moisture recovery balm.

Paul Mitchell Supercharged has soy protein in it but it provides great moisture quickly.

That sounds so yummy...:lick::lachen:

ITTTTTT WWASSS yummy!!! It felt soooo good on my head. I'm addicted to it. I washed last night, and d/c twice, once with the cholestorol, and then finished with the luxury mostiruising conditioner, my hubby was like, you are crazy....LOL.......

That stuff feels so good. My mom put it in my hair after we did the relaxer/reconditonant, she liked it so much, she ran out to get one.

soooo if you like the SE perm, then try it, you will love it, its a staple for me now :)

It's funny you said that because I'm switching relaxers...from ORS Lye to either Hawaiian Silky or Silk Elements Lye...I think I'll try Silk Elements.

Recently I returned a dryer to Sally's and couldn't get a refund because I had no receipt so I had to get store credit. I picked up a few things like WGO that I'd been wanting to try but couldn't decide on what to get so I picked up a bunch of conditioner packets of the SE luxury moisturizer (smells really good) and ORS replenishing packs (smells a little mayonaisy buy I cover with plumeria essential oil.) I will open a pack and put a little quater sized glob of conditioner when I pin my hair up for the day. One pack will last a little over a week. Also for deep conditioning I will put a slightly bigger glob in my hair, slap on my baseball cap and go jogging at the local park. Workout and DC at once--mutitasking!!

Hey crlsweetie! I didn't know MotionsMP came in 5lb tubs. I got that big thing of Humecto and I'm like...:rolleyes:...I have to use it a few more times but so far I'm not impressed. I think Elucence MB works better for my hair.

ITA about Kenra MC and I want to try the Paul Mitchell Super Charged moisturizer myself. I have not yet bought my AO honeysuckle rose and white camellia.
