My eyelashes growing extremely long was one of the first things i noticed when i started.

100384, what brand/form of chlorophyll do you currently take? I take the liquid chlorophyll and I got it from GNC. It's called Nature's Way® Chlorofresh Liquid Chlorophyl. Is this a good brand?

Thanks for this thread ... looks like ill be stoping to VS this week.

So is it the Chlorophyll in the Chlorella that is aiding to hair growth?

I take source naturals powdered chlorella which i got from iherb.com, thanks to diamoness, i put it in orange juice, i think the chlorophyll in the chlorella as well as other nutrients in it are helping my hair grow. Chlorella is powerpacked full of vitamins and minerals in addition to chlorophyll. I take other vitamins to but with the addition of chlorella i know my hair grew about 1-1 1/2 inch in certain areas of my head each month over the summer, besides that when i take it it literally brightens up my skin like almost immediately, like by the next day i see it. I believe it is awesome in not only giving clear skin, but i mean my pores don't show, it looks tight and younger. I have been complimented by a coworker, she said i don't need makeup i have good skin. That's thanks to chlorella. Had my ex feening the other day kept touching the side of my face, i was like whoa, anyways :-)

i also take kals chlorophyll in tablets. Its 20mg. As far as liquid chlorophyll i'm not sure which one i think it can be searched on the website thought for those who take liquid.

100384 How long have you been taking chlorella & chlorophyll? And how long did it take for you to get 1 - 1.5 inches per month?

I started taking both in May, got more consistent in july and seen really noticeably results btwn end of june through july. Like i use to have a pic in my siggy and i had pulled my hair to be level with my armpit, but now my hair when stretched is a little more than an inch past as of aug 7th and that pic from like sometime early july cant remember exact date. also i am on the hyh till christmas challenge so i cant post pic ,sorry, but still i'm telling you i am totally convinced this works and will be taking for a very long time.

It's not just me either when diamoness took it i read she said she got about and 1 1/2 a month , jade21 got 2 inches, and tasha112 w/msm gets over an inch a month consistently, i believe it is very much equal opportunity. I did a search to find out most of this just type in chlorella :yep:

I hear that! I started today and I tell you increase growth rate is just a benefit. I had this bust of energy all day long and I not talking about jittery energy but that I can do anything energy.

This is how I took mines this morning: In my green smoothie (organic kiwi, 1/2 organic apple, organic 1 celery stalk, water and just about 1 tablespoon on spirulina) and while drinking I swallowed my Chlorella which as 2 g of Yaeyama Chlorella and 76 mg of Chlorophyll.

2morrow I will add less spirulina b/c of the slight gritty taste.

This is a def. staple!

I usually take a teaspoon of chlorella in orange juice at night before bed, but if not i will take it during the day, it doesn't matter because right i gives u energy and builds up your immune system, and overall i just feel good when i take it.

Now check this out, thought it never happened back in the day it was thought that chlorella could be a possible solution to world hunger. I promise i didn't make this up.

100384 .... how long does iherb normally take in shipping

I am so sorry i don't even remember exactly how long it took but i know it wasn't more than a week and i proably used ups ground shipping, but that was the only thing and time i have ordered from iherb. I still have the same container.

You mentioned you take chlorella with OJ. Is it nasty, or can you really taste it? I take MSM also, but I won't take it unless it's mixed with Sunny D or something like that. It's too bitter tasting for me to just drink with water or any other juice.

Now IMHO, i don't think it is that nasty when in orange juice, it is nasty but to me no worst than taking cod liver oil liquid or b vitamin liquid. I can get it down pretty easy i just don't try to look at it because it is green.

Thanks, I think I will try it next time I get ready to restock my vits.

Ok thanx... oh one more thing how much of the chlorella and chlorophyll do u take daily

Hey 100384

Do you mind listing all the vitamins/supplements you're taking and what you are taking them for?

I may be interested in adding some of them to my diet regime but need to decide which ones I want (and which I can afford to get, lol).

TIA!!

i recently added B5 from freeda, i take chlorella powder, chlorophyll tablet, vitamin shoppe b complex, biotin from freeda, fengreek seed (recently added, not consistent), flaxseed oil (not consistently) and a digestive enzyme to help it all break down. They all benefit overall health, hair and energy.

I got the Source Naturals Chlorella and Kals Chlorophyll from VS today the Chlorella is on sale this month ..Im gonna try ur way 100384 :wink2:
I hope I get more hair growth as well but if not ill still take it for the benefits
I also got a all natural powdered multivitamin from the health store. since its time to re-up
Im trying to be more healthy. and gearing more toward natural ways of doing this.

The last time I used Chorella regularly was last fall, and I seemed to get some good growth. Then, because I was taking so many vits and getting sick of it, I slacked off that one and a few others, and I noticed that I didn't get quite as much growth when I was taking it.

I went from this (August 2007)

August 2007 hair pic (after 1 inch needed trim).jpg

to this (November 2007)

November 14, 2007 relaxer.jpg

Sooooooo, I started taking it again for this relaxer cycle, and will continue to take and measure the results again.

In a nutshell, I think Chorella does make a difference! I was taking the Nature's Way brand from The Vitamin Shoppe; they may have it at Whole Foods, too.

HTH!

If you are going to take chlorella, please take the powdered kind. Much better absorption. I use to take the powdered kind and got faster results as far as energy, overall feeling of health, good skin, etc. Now I am taking a product called Emerald Balance. It is a blend of chorella, spirulina, beet juice and other good veggies. The first month of taking this I noticed improved growth. Even if I slack off and get back on, I'll get another growth spurt. I guess my body reacts to it very well and makes up for lost time.

Is this ALWAYS the case with taking something?

I take spirulina and chlorella for overall health and wellness. Spirulina contains iron, calcium, b-vitamins, essential fatty acids, chlorophyll, beta-carotene and digestible protein. It is kind of alot of different supplements rolled into one. I have the book mentioned in the other chlorella threadm -- which talks about both spirulina and chlorella, considered superfoods --and I've emailed the link to several friends and family, again for health and wellness reasons. Spirulina is my favorite supplement of all time. Spirulina and chlorella are very synergistic. I do not always take the chlorella (I am currently taking it) but I always take the spirulina. When I first started taking it in 2000 when I was relaxed, I did see an increase in growth. I did not realize that until about three years ago, though, that the spirulina and chlorella was the reason I had so much growth in 2000. I do so many healthy things for my hair and body now that I do not know what contributes to its growth, but I will say that I am experiencing great growth and retention this year (aloe vera, keratin protein, discovered some great leave-ins...) and spirulina and chlorella are definitely apart of it.

I was just thinking what i will be doing for the summer to try to maximize growth and my overall health. I still have some emerald balance which is a green food supplement that i will take daily. I will start back taking the chlorella powdered form (source naturals) that i took last year. I know i got good growth without trying from it. Its also good for energy and i remember my vision seemed to get better too. its awesome.

My chlorella tastes like fish food...or the SMELL of fish food.

I knew I shouldn't have entered this thread.:wallbash: I saw this at the Vitamin Shoppe the other day. I started to get it because I thought I read about this on LHCF. I didn't get it because I didn't know what it was used for. Hmm, I may have to take a trip to the Vitamin Shoppe now.:look:

I agree with the above bolded. I think that Chlorella is great and have been taking it since May this year but when you combine it with Spirulina, that is when you begin to see amazing results not just with hair but your whole body. I love them both:drunk:
