How do you make a bun? (I know this should be in the hair forum but they are too serious over there and I'm scared to ask :look:)

Seriously, I always see ladies with nice buns. Meanwhile mine is nice half-way around and then it gets ugly. The bun tutorials don't help me at all. How do you get a bun so neat, even and perfect all the way around? I have that donut thing at home but I have no idea how to use it.

Please help me. Thanks!

(Mods if you must move this, that's fine. I don't want to start trouble)

I have two or three bun tutorials. I'll post them here.

I use the same instructions found here

Instead of pins I used a clip.

Shakira:blush: Shame on you asking hair questions in OT, I'm reporting you! First SR asking about blowouts, now you:lachen:

My buns are sloppy, I'm no help.

*stamping foot impatiently*

Where are the tutorials, Dlewis? (Not like I've got nearly as much hair as you, but still!)

You make the hair section sound scary. :lachen:

It's ok, after a couple of years yall will lighten up.

shoo' it hasn't even taken me that, long, dlew! i get up in there sometimes and i am like "whoa!"

per the bun...mine are terrible so i've got nothing to add :)

I make loose buns using open "V" hair hairpin only, ponytail holders create too much tension for me. Basically I take the hair like Im gonna make a ponytail and twist pin, tuck pin. Thats how I made the bun in my siggy!
