When I started lurking on LHCF, I only decided to lurk to see why I'd get to bsl and had to do a big chop. And then I discovered it was my phobia of scissors so I've been getting fairly frequent trims which has so far eliminated the dead ends problem..that and protective styling.
I have relatively healthy hair, as I said APL, and new growth is sprouting like weeds. I never had a problem with the health of my hair besides the dead ends, my little short one inch peice that comes to the middle of my neck.
I don't see a lot of breakage. If I do it's like one or two strands.
so here's the question. I've been evaluating the regimine that my mom used on my hair for 27 years (thanks mommy for the long hair), and the new things I've started to incorporate, and they are all very moisture intensive, but I wouldn't say that any of them are a protiene.
Should I get a deep conditoner that has protien to keep the balance, or just say...if it ain't broke don't fix it.
If I do end up overmoisturisng my hair, will I have enough time to counter act it if I get a protien?
Is it very hard to overmoisturise? Should I stick with what I'm doing and not incorporate the protine.
How dangerous would it be to try the mild motions silk protine?
