Hi all -
Has anyone tried a hair vitamin called: Fast Grow: Ethnic Hair Growth Enhancer by Exotic Allure. I just finished my 1st bottle (1 month supply) and just purchased 2 more - I still can't believe how much my hair has grown (bought it end of March)!! I will be posting pics soon but trust me when I say - this product is phenomenal!! My hair is a mix of 3c/4a & I've been wearing it short since 10/07 (finally decided I want to grow it out). I didn't measure my hair to determine the new growth but I'm almost positive it grew 2 inches! Though I just got some braids - its when i blew my hair out the other day that I and my sisters had to say "Whoa Nelly!"

I stumbled on it when looking for a basic hair vitamin I could take to help me grow my hair out. I did some googling and when i landed on Amazon becuz of reviews for a few other products - I was impressed by the 4.5 out 5 star rating! So I went to the company's website www.exoticallure.com & decided to give it a shot becuz it is a product specifically designed to grow out Afro/kinky/ethnic hair. I don't know about some of you but I'm a bit of a skeptic when trying new products that flaunt big claims - so when it arrived in the mail, I was surprised to find that the ingredients are pretty much the same things you'd find in a quality multi-vitamin (of course, w/ the exception of horsetail...which I wonder, could this be their secret??)

Anyway, it typically retails for $29 but Amazon sells it for $19.99. I think at the rate my hair is growing - I'll be able to sport a nice ponytail by next year. (Pics coming soon...)

my daughter has always longed to get beautiful long hair after 7 weeks her hair grew 6 inches. But because her hair is already long and natural not relaxed and she gets in all her fruits and vegetables and exercise speed up the process. And right now she is using pantene relaxed and natural which makes her her shiny, soft and beautiful.A few weeks later she relaxed her hair and its down to her waist. She's 13 years old too amazing product

..........:ohwell: ummmm.....

Wow, that's some kinda vitamin! I gotta get me some of that. :ohwell:

I have a couple of bottles, but only because I fell behind using them. I did notice a difference in my nails. I can cut my nails on Sunday and by Saturday, my nails have sprouted. I normally don't let them get too long because they tend to catch in my hair and yank out strands.

I didn't notice a big difference in my hair though. I used them while transitioning for 3 months and still had the same 1 1/2 inches after the bc. They do say it takes about 30-45 days to notice a difference though. I think some people are exaggerating...

Okay...her daughter longs to have long beautiful hair, but then the mom goes on to say her hair is already long. Doh! She might want to read the thread on different people's perceptions of what is long hair :look:

I was looking at this product the other day... I dont believe this 7day hype but it is hard for me to find a good hair vitamin with Iron in it (I'm Anemic). I think ill give it a try now...

If I'm BSL by August ill see if we can get a LHCF bulk discount:look:

If it looks like spam and smells like spam
it must be somebody who works for the company trying to pull one over on you. If the 6 inches in a week bs doesn't prove it I don't know what will. That and the 300mcg of biotin which is garbage if you're paying 20 bucks

Ekaette, I was thinking the same thing when I read the first thread to this...sounds like someone trying to build clientele or something:perplexed. I say Ladies use what you KNOW works...IF IT AIN'T BROKE DONT FIX IT

I agree...scammish cuz someone on fotki used to post all the time on Exoctic Allure working to grow her hair but there was never a full photo album for proof

Then it began on BHM forum...so its like if it works for ya go ahead but these are everyday type vitamins --I don't see anything special with them .

6 inches in 2 weeks...if that's the case she better start selling her new grown hair for money cuz she gone be sweeping floors real soon...

Scammish

Like some of you I was very skeptical - especially after reading the reviews on Amazon (some seemed too good to be true) but it is working for me. I've noticed my hair feels stronger, it doesn't break as easily and as a bonus, my nails and eyelashes have also gotten longer.

Seems far fetched - I KNOW but I've spent more than $20 on some products that claim to do so much more & in the end, was only disappointed. It was either this or that oil called Minoval. Apparently, a lot of caribbean - specifically, Haitian women swear by it but I'd rather take something like a basic multi-vitamin versus putting a harsh chemical on my scalp.

That's great, but pictures would help us see the type of growth you are talking about.

..............ummmmmmmm is RIGHT! I'm smellin some bs in that company and their "so called" testimonies. I think they are just trying to get ppl to buy some expensive vitamins. I mean really, it basically looks like a prenatal vitamin w/ a few extras thrown in!!!:nono::nono:

here go the pics sorry i couldnt find bigger ones.

i dont know about the 6inches the company is talking about, they got some good vitamins but im not saying it does that

hopefully these are alittle bigger in the graduation pic the one on the left is her the other one is her twin

really??? there is a difference, the graduation pic and the one of her and the truck is her hair at neck length and the ones with her in the grey and the pink are her hair at apl
the pics arent the best she wasnt trying to show of her hair, she was just trying to be cute:rolleyes: but these are the only ones i have of her right now.

I think consistant use of any good vitamin will give good results, i use to take fingerprint horsetail once i read reneice was using it with good results, and they worked but i heard they had nicotine in them.

I see a difference in the length...

My thinking is just good retention of her natural God-given growth rate.

But if they work for her than keep going. Her hair is lovely

I definitely don't work for the company and can tell you that these vitamins DEFINITELY worked for me! I had to stop taking them once I became pregnant, but will start back taking them after my little one is here.

But yes, I can definitely testify that these vitamins are pretty amazing. Plus, they have wonderful ingredients that are better than ingredients I've seen in a lot of other vitamins including multi-vitamins. Not to mention it makes your nails grow and your skin glow.

Of course along with any other vitamin, a proper diet, drinking plenty of water, and excercise also play a major part in your hair. "Growth Aides" alone, won't cut it, but it definitely enhances other things you are doing to maintain healthy hair, skin, and nails.

I believe you...I felt the others were saying that because of the testimonial that said her daughter hair grew 6 inches in 7 weeks. It probably was a lil exaageration but i believe if this is really a product that does what it says why not try it.It doesn't hurt to try it and the ingredients aren't that bad either.I might want to try it but not right now Im taking in too much:spinning:

Thanks for the info OP. I'll try them and I'll get back to you on how they are working. I'm going to order them today. Much appreciated.

I tried this. It made my nails grow fast, but didn't notice much difference in hair growth. I used these for 60 days. What did help my hair grow was Nori (seaweed), that I purchased in wholefoods in the international aisle (it's freeze dried and I eat it like chips). I got the heads up on it from this site, and my japanese roommate was recommending it so I thought why not? Also, I'm using OCT/Megatek combination. These are the only things that I've seen a difference with. I think the vitamins could work for someone who is not getting the nutrients necessary. Then the spurt would be one of the hair saying thank God we have some nutrients. But for a continuous growth? I don't know. Now are they healthy? Yes, my nails did grow like no tomorrow. So I say to each his/her own.
