Hi all,
I'm natural 4 a/b and I'm going to attempt to straighten my hair for the first time using the Sedu. What are some good heat protectants? What is a safe temperature to ensure that my hair reverts back?

thanks :)

I used to use You Straight. It comes in a red 7 oz jar. A little goes a long way it kept my hair really straight even after a workout and light with out the sticky stiff feeling. the only down side is it has mineral oil so I try to avoid using it. I use Hask straight solutions in a yellow bottle right now when I do flat iron my hair I keep the iron on about 2 ( i have a maxiglide)

FHI hot sauce is a good one (I don't use it but my sister does)
Chi silk infusion
Redken Heat glide
Tresseme heat protectant spray

hi op! we have the same hair type and i have a sedu too . i used the chi silk infusion, but i dont like the way my hair feels afterwards. it was almost like it didnt do much. i like design essentials silk essentials. it works pretty good. i guess it all really depends on how straight you want your hair, and how you want the texture to feel. i like my hair salon straight without any breakage. so im still in the market

Sabino protects too and looks amazing. Heat level, if you do a pony roller set first, could be around 350-375 if your in the 4's

Don't worry your hair will revert back as long as you protect it from heat, and don't go crazy (in the 400's is what I mean by crazy)

where do you find it? does it make your hair shine?
you can look up the sabino thread here to find out more info. It makes my hair shine and makes it look like it's relaxed. I have some pics in the sabino thread. Just type sabino in the search engine and you'll see the one with the youtube video that starts with "WoW". They're still giving out samples at www.gotfrizz.com just fill it out (there should be a pop up now, at least that's what I hear), and you should get a sample. If not, click the contact us and call them. There are pics in the sabino thread of my hair on day one through three in the rain and everything. I'm all natural and I'm still going strong today too!
