I started a thread not too long ago about being asked to pay $100 for box braids...with my own hair. Since I am going to Miami/Bahamas tomorrow, I needed something done to my hair. I didn't feel like fooling with it and box braids are a piece of cake. I called and asked my aunt who used to do hair a long time ago would she braid it. She did such a GOOD JOB and I paid her all of $25 for it. Looks like Auntie will be hooking me up from now on:grin: See siggy for pic

It looks good.:yep: Some of the best braids/cornrows come from family members who "can braid". Your post brings back childhood memories.
 
Just wanted to say, thanks to whoever increased the rating of this thread from 1 star to 4 stars. At first I wasn't going to give attention to the one starrer, but it did 'touch' me to see that others noticed it and rated it higher. Thanks.
 
That's how I always wore my hair! When they get wet, they will shrink up with curly ends and kinda of look like kinky twists. They're very cute on you. :yep:

where do you live again? can i have your auntie's phone #? tell her i got $30 and my hair is only half your length, we can work something out!!! :lachen:

they look great! i know it was a nice treat to have someone else do your hair for you, and for cheap! enjoy your vacation with hassle-free hair girlie! :grin:
