It looks like its possible with a good hair care regimen :yep:, especially if your hair is up in a ponytail in this picture. Do you have any other pics with your hair down?
Do you know how many inches of hair growth you need?

I'm fairly new here though. The more experienced ladies in the forum might be able to help you out better than I can.

This is my hair a couple weeks ago... maybe almost a month ago. It's not wet, so it's not being stretched by water. That is a prepoo on top of dry hair. I posted the other pic because it's one of the only good ones I have that show the distance from my hair and my armpits.

I'm 5'10 though so I know I have a longer road ahead than most

It looks possible! Just be sure you are handling your hair carefully so that you can retain all of your length. How do you usually wear your hair? Do you do protective styles?

Sorry? I'm not sure I understand this comment. Care to elaborate?

Hi, Yes you can make it to APL and U will if you follow a very good hair care regimine. What Classi123 means is that when U keep your hair in a ponytail for a long period of time even though, u are trying to grow it even with proper regimine then you will experience breakage, damage etcc.

U can try roller sets and flat iron styles I would stick with roller setts personally so that U can achive that type of length.

They're are various people who achieved APL in 4-12 months just do some research and LURK :look: some FOTKI's for example CarmelAKA is one who achieved excellent grade of APL in one period. Look at Classi123's profile and PM here and others like PrettyEyes and they will tell U how you can really achieve this length! :yep:

I normally wear my hair in a bun. I alternate from wearing it high, or in the middle, or if I wear a hat I wear it low. I don't use heat, co wash frequently, and shampoo and dc on weekends.

This reminds me, I have a question about retaining length. At what point should I be concerned about breakage and shedding? Every now and again my hair magically stops coming out when I comb or touch it but lately I can't not touch my hair and pull away a strand or two. This is my major concern right now.

I think she means we can't really tell how long your hair is when it's up in a pony. A pic with your hair down would be better to answer your question.

Oh. Ok. I mean, it's in a low ponytail, I guess that's not really obvious from the photo.
