I went to the store for one thing.....totally not related to hair but my yellow a$$ had to pass in the hair aisle.... I didn't know suave was that cheap.....I saw the Sauve humectant poo and condish and I just had to get em.....If I didn't have the flu I'd be washingmy hair right now ...I'll wait till tomorrow

I know...I'm thinking about boycotting (yeah right). I've been to Target, Walgreens, Whole Foods (used to be Wild Oats), and Kroger today (which had better deals than Target and Walgreen) I need help :nono:

everytime I go grocery shopping I seem to gravitate towards the haircare aisles and I always leave with something from there.....I need to stop it

I went to Dollar General today for one item-deodorant butalso ended up buying that 10% sulfur ointment (Pomada de Azufre). Why did they have to put that near the deodorant?:drunk:

I swear, I can't go to the grocery store, CVS, anywhere without some gravitational pull dragging me toward the haircare aisle. It's an obsession, I tell you. :lachen:

I understand what you feel here they sell Black products in special stores and I don't know why but my feet use to get me there even when I don' thave anything to do there ....
Welcome in the PJ'ism girls .

I went through years of buying stuff just to get a fix. I would say that I am 98% cured. I haven't bought a hair product in ages, but I still feel the need to visit the hair product aisle.

I have gotten MUCH better. Now that I have found some key staples I don't buy as much. Also, now that I have focused on the ingredients of things more, it has limited my choices. I would not suggest this because it is a personal choice, but the fact I prefer matching shampoo/conditioner sets, shampoo with no sulfates, and conditioner with no (or low) cones my choices have become very slim! LOL

I still browse - can't help it. You know this is crazy but I even cut out coupons I see in the Sunday paper for haricare items even if I know I won't buy them. I saw BOGO free sunsilk last week and got all excited. Another was $2 off any one Dove item. I like leaving them in the store next to the products hoping that I am doing my part to help all PJs in my area. LOL

:lachen:this made me laugh .......yeah I like that Suave humectant poo and cond.

I know how you feel OP...between the hair care tips, the health forum and the fashion forum I'm learning how to have major wallet control! (and to just be very selective on what I splurge on or try)

I know how you feel. Because of this board I bought the following:

  1. 10 en 1 Miss Keys
  2. WGO
  3. BT
  4. NTM
  5. Keracare
  6. Mizani
  7. Emergencee
  8. Aphoghee
  9. Microfiber Hair Towel
  10. EVOO + Cayenne Pepper
  11. Coconut Oil
  12. Castor Oil
  13. Dr. Miracle's
  14. ORS Conditioner Packets
There are more but this is long enough. :lachen:

I know what you mean OP......it's truly difficult sometimes.

I always go to the hair section of every store I visit. And sometimes, just stand there. Looking right crazy. :perplexed
And it's VERY HARD for me to pass by this new Indian store in my neighborhood. VERY HARD!!

And ya know, it's not just the hair products.
I find myself wanting to buy various books that have been suggested here, as well as food items, makeup....and other stuff discussed on this forum!!

Last week, I created a wish list.
I'm going to start picking one item to buy off that list each pay day.
(well---after I pick up this Organic Root Stimulator Creamy Aloe Shampoo at Sally's after work today).:look:

But seriously, this is the greatest forum on earth--because there are hair products, certain foods and books that I've purchased, which have enriched my life--- that I would have NEVER purchased had I not learned about them here!!

The information and advice gained has been priceless!!!
It almost makes the pj-ism worth it all! :yep:

almost...

Shoot nowadays you can't even go clothes shopping without buying some hair products. I went to TJ Maxx and found tons of delish conditioners. The good kinds too.:yep:

Where I keep my money and other stuff is my purse. In my house Pocketbook means something else.:look:

I am so with you, I cannot not go to the hair aisle can't must see what they got over here that they didnt' have yesterday. I can't name all the stuff I have purchased since joining I must have spent 3,000.00 since October 2005. I have the CHi, THE FHI blow dryer, the Maxglide. thats half a grand right there alone. Eqysis thats over a 100 for those products then I brought Oviations. Msm, MN, MTG, BT, Biotin, Flaxseed Oil. Sea Kelp, Chlorphill or whatever its called didn't get it yet its in the mail. Indian products I was even looking for a crockpot until my kids said they had enough of me and my hair products I have tons in the bathroom and my dresser three dressers in the dressers and I have a huge bin filled can't even closed the thing. I mean good grief. Primrose oil thought I could get some boobs, NOT.....I might be wrong I might have spent more. I brought the calypso rollers, the twirl rollers with the stick you know what I am talking about, Hair dryers was going for the Pibbs but reality set in where was I going to put it. I have two hair dryers already. Where is this going. I backed out. I regret it because I could get some great use out of it now. I been looking at steamers. I had enough I have to pinch myself not to buy anything else. I have to use up all that I have and stop buying more stuff. I dont' have money like that at all. i am trying to save for a new house and I am to busy spending. Enough is enough I just have to get two more bottles of conditioner and then I can hold off. :yep:
