Does natural hair grow downward (think kelis and rachel true from half and half) when its healthy and upward when its damaged like mine:wallbash:

or is it just a length thing? im confused!:perplexed
thanks in advance:yep:

i need to know this as well. I'm hoping mine grows downward because I'm totally legth challenged. I want LENGTH that shows even with my curls. I hear there's ways to make it more downward... like twists and such.

I think it's more of a hair type and texture kinda thing. There are 4a/b types with bsl whose hair still shrinks to like 4 inches. If you have a looser hair type or have finer hair your hair might flop and start growing downward after it gets to a certain length.

I think it all depends on the individual. My hair grows up and out, but it's healthy :look: I don't think because your hair is damaged that it would affect how your hair is growing out of your head.

ITA.
It depends on your hair type, not health.

It all depends on your hair type. I have type 4ab hair. My hair grows up and out. I'd love for it to grow downwards...but it ain't gonna happen!

Cosigning with the other ladies. Looser hair types tend to grow downward more often. It doesn't have anything to do with the health of your hair.

My hair is healthy and it continues to grow up and outward.
