I thought this would be interesting.........

Do you think Condi could have ever rocked a natural look and been Secretary of State?

Her Relaxer is Tight at all Times!!!!!

Hey - her hair dos leave something to be desired - but ... hey - She is part of the Bush Administration!

What do you think Y'all???? She is in Fitness magazine this month........
:yep:

Hahah ... funny. I saw her on the news the other day and admired her hair.

I think the only way she could've gotten away with being natural was if she was a press-n-curl lady. :yep:

I was just watching something about her on CNN...and i promise you, i wondered the saaaaame exact thing. I'm not so sure though....

UMMM HMMM.

Because there is no way that a napp could show in that administration.

NO way. So - what does that say about us, as a country, a society???????

:lachen:

Actually, it depends on how she wore her hair, honestly. She wears that hair so tightly curled though, that SHE wouldn't be comfortable as a natural, methinks.

I thought she was already natural (press&curl maybe).:ohwell: Sometimes it looks like she could use a relaxer,a hot oil treatment, or something.:perplexed

The same thing they've been saying since the beginning of time. Nah she couldn't be natural. Not conservative enough. Natural hair still has the stigma of being radical. I think if natural hair was the norm for black women in this country, it might another story but as for now, no.

RIGHT ... no way. I can't imagine her rocking a single coil and being Secretary State at the same time.

I think as a society we still have a ways to go before natural hair can be completely accepted in every setting and environment. It would be nice if for the remainder of her term, Condeleeza could bust out with a BC and show off her coils to the nation.

... Actually, I'm so used to her hair right now that I don't think I can handle the sudden change. LOL. :grinwink:

I knew you all would say this. I did a paper on this last semester....

BIG SIGH....

Sheesh. Good to know I will never be Sec Of State....:lachen::lachen:

HAAAAA - Just a History Professor... Dr. Jones, Rockin the nappssss.

If i were Condi, i'd take it as a positive sign to go on and be natural; i mean afterall her boss's name is BUSH :burning::lachen::lachen::lachen::afro::lachen:

You know what I am just happy that she and Michelle are not rocking weaves.

It seems that every black woman in the limelight has a weave.

Based on her edges, I assumed she was natural :look: She definitely doesn't have a good stylist- her hair is stiff.

Sooo, when it is time for me to get a touchup and I don't want to yet, people might think I'm natural?

I don't use gel and all that I just let them go free and make myhair look as neat as possible until the next touchup. I am a 4b type.

I wonder if people think I am natural when my edges have NG.

And I don't stretch. I wonder how all of these stretchers make out. I know there are some thick curly edges floating all around America if folks are waiting weeks and weeks and weeks and weeks to get touchups.

Im a 4a/b that stretches anywhere from 3 to 6 months. I get my edges to lay down by using the scarf method & oil or butter. It works like a charm, you can never tell by my edges when its time for a touch-up.

My comment was based on the fact that she is a public figure. Not that she should relax at any turn by any means, but that she can at least smooth her roots with a flat iron, if she knows she will be on tv. I hate to say it, but the everyday rules don't apply if you have millions of ppl looking at you on a given day.

Doesn't work for me. :look: Oil or butter and a scarf? LOL Not even if I tie it down VERY tight until I wake up with headaches, my edges will not laydown with I have lots of NG.

I guess some of us just don't have it like that.

I can get them to lay down for a hot minute and that's all! Back to fluff city.

I am okay with it, too. But, I know I am not the only black women out here that just cannot get the NG to lay down with a scarf and some cream.
