OMG! How did I live without a CHI!

See, I am glad that you posted this (and I actually saw the thread!). I bought a Chi last year, and I've yet to use it and with everyone raving about the MaxiGlide, I was tempted to go and get that.

I am glad I didn't. I will prolly use my Chi in May and I hope my results are as good as yours!

So, a couple of days ago I asked about is the CHI really worth it... today I mustered up the nerve to go to ULTA and buy one.

My hair looks and feels like I just left the salon. When my camera battery charges I'll take a picture and post it here :)

I'm newly transitioning (3.5 months post) and think I've found my answer to between salon visits. It took me an hour to straighten it taking small sections, but I truly can tell the difference between the CHI and my Jilbere. I mean it's like WOW!

Thank you to everyone who answered my original questions about the CHI, and those who offered advice regarding the Sedu and FHI. The CHI was on sale ($20 off) so I figured why not try it. I may take it back and order one off folica.com if I can find one cheaper there.

What temperature did you use on your chi to straighten your hair? It looks beautiful.

Gosh, I wish I was on yr buddy list so I can see the rest of your hair. My solia did nothing for me and the maxiglide is too big. Maybe I'll get me one, too.

I have really enjoyed my CHI flatron and it works really well with Redken Heatglide.
I have the Paul Mitchell Super Skinny Serum but never used it.

I had the same problem! The solia is durable but the settings either are high enough to burn my hair or aren't high enough and it left me with no shine. The maxiglide was ok but the CHI is :cloud9:

My CHI doesn't have settings. I have the original (I think); the guy at ULTA told me NOT to get the turbo (he was a black stylist).

Here are pics from today after my hair was wrapped and a full day of work :)

BTW, it's even cheaper that folica.com on amazon. I think it's $74 with free shipping on amazon.
