I've made it to shoulder-length:yah: I'll cut a pish this time if she even thinks about putting a pair of scissors near my hair.
But, I'm having hardcore problems with tangles and breakage along the line where the NG and relaxer ends (did I mention I may transition again...:look:
Don't laugh). I guess because I have about an inch in some places, the hair just gets wrapped up in one another and then becomes matted. What can I do?

Make sure you're keeping your hair super moisturized.

Are you DCing weekly even bi-weekly w/Heat? If not, start. Make sure you boost your DCers with evoo, jojoba, shea or some other good eo's. I also add a tspn of honey to really give it a kick.

Are you co washing instead of using shampoo? If not, start. That also gives your hair extra moisture.

Last but not least, try using scurl on the ng or some other good spray moisturizer you prefer, DAILY and maybe even a dose of coconut oil in that area to give it another coat.

I stretched this last time to 14 wks and my ng was hollering all the time. I looked like boo-boo at the office, constantly, but the good news was I experienced NO :nono: breakage at the demarcation line. :yep:

Try those things and I'm sure others will give additional helpful advice.

Have a good one

edit: Incorporate more protective styles into your regimen. Keeping your hair off your shoulders/clothes will help you with the length retention

yes..baby that ng.. When u DC, make sure ur product is getting on that ng. a lot of times we tend to just slap it around our hair. when i'm at that breaking point with my ng, i use an applicator brush directly to ng. its been working cuz i'm at 14 weeks now

Nacidit Aguacate Conditioner is good an eliminates tangles. Elasata QP Intense is also a superb conditioner that eliminates tangles. They both smell great!

I'm on the deep conditioning challenge, so it's 3xs a week for an hour. Last week I was kinda funky about my deep conditioning. I used to used honey non-stop on my hair. I'm going back to it. Also, because I'm trying to use up the qhemet HHB, I'm going to start adding that to my dc.
