For me it has more to do w/detangling and how much time I have to take to do my hair.

What does it mean to you?

How easy it is to detangle/comb
How it stays in whatever style i put it in
Maybe splits and dryness---i might say someone with less dry hair and hair not so prone to splits had more managble hair.

I never use that term though or compare my hair really

Hrm. I can't say that I use the term - but if I did, I would be talking about the ease of dealing with it. Hair that gets easily tangled (no matter what the curl pattern) to ME, is not 'manageable'. My hair, when dry, isn't 'manageable' (which is why I try to not fool with it - teaching a pig to sing, etc, etc ) because it doesn't have much 'slip' (though, I'm sure a different leave-in might help with that). Funnily enough, I think super slick/slippery hair is ALSO unmanagable, because it won't stay PUT, for anything.

Then there is also awkward, where it's a tiny bit too long for the old styles, and a tiny bit too short for the style you really wanna try. I feel like I've been there FOREVER. :look:

I don't use this word to describe my hair, in fact I don't really say much about it.

However, when people express their beliefs about manageable or unmanageable they are usually refering to how easily a comb glides in their hair.

for me it's about how easy it is for me to make it look good. If I have to fuss then .... :nono:

If it's relatively easy to Keep it simple... then you get the point.

How easy it is to detangle and how much time and/or effort it takes to style and maintain style.

Just like time and money - I believe that all hair is "manageable". For me and my hair, its about it doing what I want/need for it to do when I want/need for it to do it.

When I use the term manageable, I mean:

How easy it is to detangle
How long it takes to get it into the style you want...
Does it STAY in the style :look: after all the work of pressing and curling:grin::rolleyes:

But mainly, it's about detangling for me....after that, I am good.:)

maneageable = I can't manage to get it straight easily...can't manage to keep it straight easily.

My hair is completely unmanageable and I love it! :spinning:

Manageable for my hair means- the less coily parts are not fried, the more coily parts are combable w/out massive hair loss, not straw dry, and not matting.

I am happy as long as I can keep the fluff detangled, reasonably moisturized without too much fuss, tears, or breaking.

I agree. I believe that all hair is manageable when you learn how to take care of it and find the right products.
