I'm working late today so I stepped out to get some brown people energy food (aka. fried chicken wing, breast, thigh and a side of greens in garlic and olive oil). Anyhoo, I was standing in line behind a tall white woman in a fur coat, leather gloves, and with long shiny blond hair.
At one point I had to say "excuse me" and move ahead because she wasn't standing to the side after making her order. I made sure to use my friendly Negro voice as not to startle her. Unfortunately, I was then shocked, disturbed, frightened, and led asunder by the reality of the situation. The back of her head was saying 20something perky blond, but the front (in all areas, features, tones, and manners
) was saying 4b jet black, black female. If I were older I could have had a heart attack from the surprise.
We have to implore people to racially identify themselves properly using appropriately chosen weave hair. If one has 2" of 4z jet black hair showing around their edges, then the following hair should not be attached. Has anyone else had this experience and what can we do to prevent this?
