Im due to get a touch-up in a few days, but i also want to get some colour around the front and top area of my hair. My hair is jet black at the moment and i was thinking of adding some very subtle brown/bronze tones in those areas. Do you think this is advisable, or do you think i should wait till perhaps 2/3 weeks after my touch-up? Thanks

I think most people advise that you wait at least 2 weeks after the relaxer. You don't normally want to put 2 chemical processes on your hair at one time. Especially if you don't want breakage and you don't want a set back. Hey, you're only 2-3 inches from bra-strap so don't risk it! Just my opinion....I'm not relaxed anymore, so maybe someone else has different advice. HTH

i agree & you always relax first then put color on. not the other way around!

Wait AT LEAST 2 weeks. By highlights I'm assuming you mean permanent color, right? Two chemicals in less than two weeks is a definite NO-NO! :D

What she said! I did that before when I didn't know a thing about hair care and needless to say I went from bra lenght to no lenght in approximately 2 months...not a good I idea...please wait.
