Who is at the point where you can view someone with long hair and are not even tempted to peak at their regimen? Who has a regimen and product selection, they are completely satisfied with?

Are you coming from the future???? What's life like in 2035??

Yes, my regime is set! But, I still take a peak for product ideas. I've been using all natural products lately and I'm always checking to make sure I'm using the cheapest and most effect products. But, yeah regimens always seem so overwhelming--even from the people who say they are doing a KISS method.

Lol, I know. I had to stop myself. I was spending too much money on different products. Now I'm in a good place. I had an epiphany, I see so many ladies with long nice hair, and the product ranges from cheap to expensive.

I rarely look at people's regimens anymore. I am down to the basics as far as products go and I'm only thinking of ways to subtract something, not add. But, for a long time, I was a conditioner junkie, who would always look to see which conditioners folks were using.

You're very pretty! You have lovely skin!

Anyway... I look at regimens and might think about certain things but not necessarily in specific product terms.

I might go, "Hey she washes 3 times a week, and usually uses a moisturzing treatment each time and a protein treatment once during that week... maybe I should do the same?"

But not in a PJ type fashion.

Nah

Im always looking to see esp. people with wonderfull hair if they have any techniques or products that i dont know about that will really benefit my hair

At this point with the products, i keep finding that i really dont need it, or that i already have something that does the same thing.

I love new methods though, those are always fun to find out.
Everyone has something that they do different

Oh yeah, i love looking at simple regimens and seeing which areas they are covering and how little they can get away with, and it helps me decide if i really need this or that. When i first started i def. had like 20 products, now down to 9/10.

Thank you!

I have 4 products--Nourish Spa Conditioner, Hemp Seed Butter, Shikakai Shampoo Bar and I am weening myself off the Sunsilk. Well, and I occasionally using Queen Helene Cholestoral for a DC, but that's like once a month if even that. I do not want to add to those products, but if there is a possibility to replace or condense into fewer products then I am all for it!

I'm still looking, because I'm trying to narrow down my 'products' to a collection of 'ingredients' with multiple uses. I like mixing up my own hair concoctions, so I doubt that I'll ever full give up my PJ (IJ, really!) ways....
I might, at some future point, have actually narrowed down my stuff to a collection of recipies - that would rock.

I'm at that point now. There is only one memeber here whose fotki I check out when she does updates. Other than that I know what I need to do to retain my length.

You're very pretty! .

I was gonna say the same thing! Beautiful, and ur hair looks great!

But back on task; thats me...i dont check out regimines anymore. i stick with my simple one and it works just fine. when i was hoppin on bandwagons left and right is probably when my hair hated me the most as it can't stand many products. :)

WOW at 4 about to be 3! So instead of moisturizing with sunsilk or you about to start just deepconditoning with your conditoner, and sealing with hemp seed butter on wet hair for moisture?

I really love simplicity :yep: I have 20 products that i use for my entire self including toothpaste, vitamins, bodywash, deoadoerent etc. Its a shame that hair takes up 1/2 of that LOL.

I cant wait untill im fully natural, i look forward to having 3-5 products as well and hopefully they'll be something that i can use on my entire body as well and natural :yep: Thats what drew me to natural hair....No need for all the protien treatments, porosity, shine, moisture ect. ect. Thinking about an oil or butter, glycerin, and baking soda, maybe a detanger and a once a month strength treatment like you....but who knows....Then be down to 12-15 total body products

No not checking for regi's but I do check for easier way to do a particular style or just to be nosy looking at someone's beautiful hair and/or progress.:look:

Amen! I have a few staple cheap products but most of my other items are oils that I like playing with and using at different times to find the right combinations. I'm investing time and money in me (my hair) and I'm not wasting anything due to someone else's regimen or recommendation. So I just stalk fotkis for progress pics and journals for hair recipes. :yep:

Love your wig!!!!! I went wig shopping the other day and didn't find NOTHING!!! (yes, I know that's bad English, that's how frustrated I was!)

 Thanks. I was tired of doing the front of my hair for 1/2 wigs and decided to rock a full one for the first time and I love it, love it, LOVE IT!

Who is at the point where you can view someone with long hair and are not even tempted to peak at their regimen? I am not at that point yet. However, I feel as if I am close to that. I enjoy viewing photo journals for inspiration, protective styles, and ideas. I rarely check for regimen and products anymore, because I am learning that 99% of healthy long heads keep it simple. Plus, I learned the hard way that what works for her and her hair type, may not necessarily work for me and mine, so I am not so quick to fall on the latest bandwagon and run to the BSS anymore, like I used to.

I have tweaked my regi thru trial and error, and lately, my hair has been so well-behaved, the best run in a while. So I am not trying to muck with that. :nono:

Who has a regimen and product selection, they are completely satisfied with? Have not arrived to that point yet, but getting there. I am down to several select faves, and I deliberately do not shop for prods very much anymore. My goal is to get to a point where I am fully satisfied with each and every product.

Currently, I am perfecting techniques on styling my roots after a rollerset. Once I get that down-packed, I am pretty much done. I am also playing around with fun buns. But these are more "styling" issues, as opposed to "regimen" issues.

ITA with you on the Red!

My regime is actually very simple. I haven't changed it in a while too and I don't plan on changing it either. Even though I own enough products to open a store, I only use a handfull of them on a regular basis. When I check out peoples regimes its usually to see if I can disect it in my brain to guess what their problems are. I try to test myself.

Yes, I'm phasing out the Sunsilk which is hard because I have 1.5 bottles left. I may bring them to the DC meeting and just rip the band aid off! yes, using hemp seed butter is my main/only source of moisture.

I am 100% satisified with my regimen. I was lucky to get my regimen in order a few months after joining. I love to look at the beautiful hair on the ladies at LHCF but my looking at regimen days are over:yep: I'm straight:grin:

I will admit I am a conditioner junkie but that's because I do conditioner washes and ummmmm the ladies do have me wanting to purchase more oils. I already use Alma Oil and Vatika Oils but now I'm wanting to get the shakakahi oil and that bhringahi (sp?) oil so I can start scritching:rolleyes: but other than that my looking at regimen days are over:yep:

Nope, not there yet. :nono:

I peek, however, I don't change my regimen. My regimen/products are pretty solid. I've gotten good results and IMO it isn't so much the regimen or products as it is the comittment and consistency with whatever you are doing and/or using.

I'm pretty much set with my regimen, it's been working for me, so why change it? I admit though, I do have a weakness for moisturizing conditioners so any time someone gives one a raving review, I always have to check into it. I won't necessarily buy it, but I will check into it to see if it might be a good fit for me.
