Whisper "bleep boop" to yourself when you're sad.
So I tried the CON relaxer today, the one with all of the coconuts and sunflowers on the box. This was my first time trying it and I was pretty excited, it looked like a good relaxer.

The good- Usually when I relax, some spots ALWAYS burn. I could leave my hair alone for a month, and the relaxer would still burn. This one didn't burn at all. Well, except for a few minutes after I applied it to my edges. I started sweating around my hairline, and it started to tingle.... Hey, I'm a preggo who's hot all the time, I can't help it! It also got my hair pretty straight. Not as straight as I wanted it, but pretty straight

The bad- The kit didn't contain a conditioner! Anyway, I figured I could use one of my own, no problem. I neutralized for a long time and deep conditioned with VS So Sexy. The shampoo made my hair super dry and tangly, but So Sexy quickly got rid of that problem. When I was done, I put on some of the leave in that came with the kit. It made my hair soooo freakin hard and tangley, I couldn't get my comb through it! I tried putting some of my beloved Sunsilk leave in to soften it up a bit. That helped a little, but my hair was still really hard to manage and I lost more hair than usual. I didn't wanna do any damage, so I put the comb down and gently finger combed as much as I could back into a bun.

My hair is so damn hard, tangled and dull looking right now, I think I'm gonna dc tomorrow to get my hair back in shape :( I'm so mad because I stretched for 14 dang weeks, all of that anticipation and excitement, down the drain. For those of you wondering about the CON relaxer, leave that crap on the shelf and get something that's worth your money! :swearing:

I am sorry you had a crappy experience:sad: What do you think you are going to use for your dc?

Crappy relaxers are the WORST:wallbash:

I know! I hate crappy relaxers! All this time I've been so excited to see my progress and have my hair straight, but I couldn't even take quality progress pics cause my hair was so freakin tangled! :wallbash:

Anywho, on to the important stuff  I'm gonna dc with a mix of AO Desert and Island Naturals conditioners. I'll probably add a little VS So Sexy to get rid of the herbal-y smell :yep:

Sounds like a good mix. I know the island naturals will gie you a one two moisture punch. I am 7 weeks post hoping to go another 5. I am already stressing about my touchup.

Sorry about your CON experience, Tiff. Well tomorrow is another day and I'll be waiting for your updated pics after your DC .
