BTW, for the ladies that use Damage Remedy do you find that it helps stop breakage????

I find DR to be a mild protein. I can't say that it stops breakage in its tracks for me :look:. But it does leave my hair stronger, and therefore LESS prone to breakage :yep:.

I was just about to leave and go to the Aveda store :scratchch. Is the DR line moisturizing at all? Or, is it just a mild protein to strengthen?

Well under the advice of the saleswoman I picked up DR poo and the treatment. I also nabbed some USC. She told me that it would work for moisture and protein and would be good for my hair type/texture. I might go back and pick up the Brilliant line poo/con to have an alternate...so many choices...

I was at Aveda salon on saturday and was told that the Smooth Infusion Style Prep Smoother is the Elixir replacement. I earned a free bottle, but I have not used it yet.

Does anyone know what the replacement product is for Aveda Elixir?

The smooth infusion style prepper? Now you know they tripping. I was able to get a 16oz bottle of Aveda Elixir for REAL cheap! The style prepper comes in this teeny tiny bottle - oh they tripping for real! LOL.

I :love: USC! I use it as a moisturizer on dry hair.

Yea, I know what you mean, I was shocked when the stylist told me that. This was my expression:perplexed.

Thanks. I am curious to know whether it is moisturizing.
I didn't get the Be Curly poo/con, but I got the Curl Enhancer creme. It worked out really well!! I've been using the DR line, which is hooking a sista up, and the Curl Enhancer makes my curls pop and keeps them soft!! Great investment, I may try the entire line later.

Are there any Aveda products that are safe for sistahs that are natural....or are there any Aveda products that enhance 4b coarse hair? I noticed that Dillards carries the product line for Aveda......

I have the DR shampoo and conditioner, I really like them and have been using them for about a year now. The one thing that I hate though is the price!!!!!!!!!!!! Whenever I go to the black owned spa to get my hair done, they use the sap moss line on my hair and I really love it. I have tried the scalp benefits poo and conditioner on the weeks I do not use the DR and I didnt really notice any difference in the amount of flakes I seem to always have, otherwise, it was ok, nothing special.

My staples are the DR Line (all three products) the Light Elements Smoothing Fluid, the Sap Moss line and Shampure Shampoo.

I use the Pure Abundance shampoo sometimes too (as a clarifying shampoo, instead of the Detoxifier, which is too harsh for me), as well as the Color Conserve line when necessary.

I rotate and mix them to make my own personal blends of the products.

I ADORE the Aveda line.

Can someone help me with USC uses? I'm in love with the smell, so I may be overdoing it. I used it on my ends two days in a row, now I'm a limp lifeless mess...too much, too often?

All Aveda products are 'safe' or Natural and relaxed hair.:yep: Many naturals (like myself) love the Damage Remedy Line! Some like the 'Brilliant' line as well. As far as enchaning 4b curls there is Aveda 'Be Curly Curl Enhancer'. Though I have not used it myself you can give it a shot.

Back in the day I used Curresence Line and loved it, but they discontinued it. I finally went back

I use:
* Damage Remedy Poo
* Damage Remedy Conditioner
* Smooth Infusion Style Prep Smoother on wet hair
* Phomollient Foam on wet hair
* Universal Styling Cream on dry hair
* Humectant Pomade on ends

SO FAR, I AM HAPPY, THE TRUE TEST WILL BE WHEN I HAVE NEW GROWTH AGAIN

Has anybody tried both the Dry Remedy Moisturising Conditioner and Smooth Infusion Conditioner? Any reviews? Which is best? Would love to hear experiences from other naturals.

TIA!

^^^Mostly 4ber here. I like the Smooth Infusion far better, because it gave me a decent amt. of slip and shine. Plus, it smelled better. The Dry Remedy smells like ick, and it does not give much slip.

Hmmm, good to know. I was instantly drawn to the Dry Remedy because its labelled as moisturising, but quite a few people have given props to the SI...

Anyone else? Dry Remedy vs Smooth Infusion? (Esp naturals?)

Hands down Damage Remedy regular conditioner (the treatment is a bit too protein rich for me). Most of the other products I love are dc'd now, such as the Elixir :lick: and the Sap Moss nourishing concentrate. :lick: I like the light smooth infusions serum as well. :yep:
