Try some ORS Olive Oil in the jar. I am 9 wks going for 32wks and thats what i use and its HELPING as we speak!!

Can you please help me? What can I use on my NG?

TIA

I think we would better be able to help you if you give us your regimen and current products that work for you. Is your hair fine or coarse? What is your hair type?

Personally, none of the products previously listed worked for me :nono: You will get 50-11 suggestion and be left with empty pockets! It would be best to ask someone with similar texture/type as you...this will also save you money too!

Can I ask what has given you so much growth in 4 weeks?

I'm not sure what product to use, really. I always flat iron my new growth.

i'm 4a-esque. . . and I am currently using mango butter on the edges. . . im 4 weeks post too, and she is doing her OWN thing in the middle of my head, but im rollersetting too, so it hides it pretty well. . . but then again, i love my new growth, i rub it all the time. :lachen:

yea im kinda confused about the 4 week new growth.. is it that noticeable and hard to manage.. i find that odd... usually even if u do have new grwoth at 4 weeks it shouldnt be that hard to manage but then again i can be wrong.. is it possible ur were underprocessed

Have you tried afro detangler? Giovanni direct keeps my hair soft for longer sealed with a bit of castor oil.

Upping your co-washes and DCs may also help

I am a natural and occasionally I do a pre poo with coconut milk with honey for about 1-2 hours....that looses up my curl so maybe you could use that to stretch chemical relaxers and loosen your new growth....I am sure some other relaxed ladies here have used it to stretch too...

Make sure you are deep conditioning. When the new growth starts kicking I have to inrease my conditioning time,

What she said ^.

Also I use a mix of glycerin and water to keep the new growth soft so I can manage. :yep: I'm two months post and all I can say is WOW. :ohwell: but hey... it's soft! lol

First of all.....CONGRATULATIONS!, this is an excellent, desirable problem to have! Now, have you heard of the carmel treatment or the coconut milk/lime relaxer? I use both of those to control my NG. Also, I DC with each co-wash (about 2 or 3 times per week), and apply the conditioner to the NG first, using an applicator brush. Then, I keep the NG moist during the day with a water/glycerin/oil mixture that I spray directly onto my scalp several times per day. Your NG is your best friend, just remember that!!!

I am a 4/A I believe. My hair grows really fast on its own. I relaxed with Mizani and have been washing and roller setting once a week. Followed by flat ironing.

I wash with CON shampoo and ORS replen conditioner followed by aphrogee leave in. I use NTM serum daily then sealed with hollywood beauty castor oil.

I remember when I used to relax every 4 weeks and I always just KNEW i NEEDED a relaxer. I swore my head was so nappy and just had to relax. Now I'm 4 weeks currently and I couldn't image relaxing now. Long story short "I feel you."

You probably just need to moisturize better/more or DC. My NG loves water and thick creamy cons when it's starts to get a little unruly around 8 weeks.

ETA: I didn't think you had to seal serums with oil. Aren't serums oil based? If so you may just need some type of water based moisture for daily use and seal that with oil but I could be wrong.
