Moisture!Moisture and more Moisture!. It doesn't really matter what product it is at long as it assists your natural in retaining moisture- your curls or coils will be defined. My coils and curls appear only in the shower.

I've been taking some notes as of late, and from what I've seen is that Beyond The Zone's Noodlehead has gotten rave reviews for curl definition and controls frizz at the same time. Beyond The Zone is only available at Sally's from what I gathered. Some have even used it in combination with Fantasia IC gel as well. HTH! :)

Cosign... My hair is it's curliest when it is soaking wet or freshly conditioned.

No-poo or low-poo routines help me retain moisture and thus provide more curl definition.

Also, keeping my hands out of my hair helps retain definition and prevent frizz. But that is the hard part :wallbash:.

I :infatuated: Noodlehead!

Nappity4b is right.

So I don't do wash 'n' gos mostly because I can get it to look curly enough for me. The back of my hair maybe but as you move to the front less and less curls.

I met this woman who told me the name of a product from Aveda that she uses. She said that she applied this product on wet hair (not sure if soaking wet or towel blotted. This is important and I will ask her) and then goes to sit under the dryer. She said that she must go under the air dryer IMMEDIATELY (very important). Her hair texture was def. a 4b/c with small curls almost like krinks. Her was big and curly/kinky....

Now I never had this happen to my hair. HOWEVER this past weekend it happened. I applied the Volcanic clay mask from Blended Beauty and as it was drying in my hair, the hair felt heavier, curls were clumped together and the curls were def. there. Unfortunately, I had to rinse it out.

So the key might be to find a product that can hold the curls/kinks down. I'm interested in the BBD Stretch product....

I co-sign with the use of Fantasia IC gel(s) but recently I have fallen in love with FOTE Aloe Vera Gel, it defines my curls quite nicely. My wash n' go in my siggy was done with the FOTE Aloe Vera Gel. :yep:

I put castor oil and water into a spray bottle, shake it up and spray it into my soaking wet hair. My curls pop like crazy when I do this. :yep:

Well moisturized hair.
Low manipulation after hair is wet/damp
Right now, I'm really liking Smooth and Shine Curl Activator Gel on wet/damp hair and then wrapping hair in microfiber towel.

Okay,

I gave up on trying to get curls out of my head.

Just won't do it.

Moisture is great and does wonders for me, but my hair does not do the curl thing.

Braid and twist outs are the closest that I can get.

:yep::yep:. I don't know why, but this leave in makes my curls pop fabulously.

:yep: Isn't it great?!

I love the Cantu leave in for curl definition. I never did wash and gos before because my hair would be curly when wet but dry up very frizzy with the curls not really defined. I depended on twist outs for some definition but now with the Cantu I only do wash and gos. It's my favorite product. :drunk:

I have heard so much about curly pudding and other Miss Jessie's products, but the PRICE!!!!:perplexed

Are there any cheaper alternatives? I have been thinking of experimenting to make my own homemade concoction. Does anyone already have one?

Have yall tried DCing with the ORS replenishing pack?

I put that on my hair, studied for an hour, then took off the showercap and realized a lot of my ends were curly (they have been coiled for a while but the ends never actually curled around until now--- this could be because I've been transitioning so long the relaxed part broke off of some but I'm still not sure)

Even after I rinsed out the DConditioner and conditioned my hair with some Silk Elements after my hair was still curly. I think the best way is to use a really good moisturizing conditioner (with a little protein like the ORS pak) and rinse it out. I didn't put any products on my hair and it looked pretty defined... until I straightened it:rolleyes:

Hands down - Kinky Curly products.

Miss Jessie's did not do much for my hair at all.

Just wanted to add - if you dont have any type of curl-definition to begin with there is nothing you can do to achieve curls. In this case it is better to appreciate what you have.

Softsheen Carson Wave moisturizer does my hair wonders after I spray with water.

Daily I spray with my hair with water then I add the wave moisturizer and then my oil. My curl definition is so hot........:lachen::lachen:
