any styling lotion, really...
i used to use curly meringue until the formula changed
now im using just a leave-in conditioner Ellin Lavar Penetrating Balm

SCurl but more so starting from day 2 after a wash and baggying. I usually apply it very generously to towel dried hair after a morning wash and then comb out the puff. By evening my hair is dry but coils still look good; it just doesn't feel that great. So I apply more of the SCurl spray till hair feels soft again and moist. I baggy for the night and then comb out the next morning when hair is wet from the baggy. My hair stays soft all day and I never have to apply anymore SCurl till wash day. I do baggy every night. I don't use the gel. I use the spray. And while my hair feels soft and moist, it doesn't get sticky and doesn't leave oily marks on furniture or walls. My 4B hair stays as soft as it looks.

When I'm wearing braids, I don't use any leave-in, and find a dunk in ACV solution after a good conditioning and then drip drying defines my coils. You can see the definition at the ends of my twisted bangs.

sunsilk captivating curls gel & cream twist.
