I dont know if I'm dumb for thinking this, but I always thought Ms.Badu's hair was real! I always see her up in these natural inspiration threads...then I saw this Sa-Ra music video and she pulls off her wig around 2:05....Im so disappointed

No way Eryka's hair was real...especially since I saw her take it off in the Dave Chappelle Block Party movie back in 06 :blush:

I remember that! The wind kept blowing the 'fro back and you could clearly see it was a wig. I guess she just got tired of it and yanked that bad boy off!:lachen:

^^^lol if I saw that I would be so traumatized...I really was proud of her...and after seeing some of the natural ladies here, I KNOW that style is attainable :perplexed...next you guys are going to tell me santa isnt real
 
Nah she wears a wig. She went from being bald to having all that hair way too fast. She snatched it off on that Dave Chapelle thing. It was funny though. :lol: I heard her locs were fake too. There was some speculation that she had extensions on them. I want to get an afro wig but all the ones I've seen in stores looked phony like those clown afro wigs.

I felt the same way when I found out that Lauryn Hill's locks were extensions. I had just started mine and I felt duped and disappointed.

No chit!!! All this time, I was like you, until I seen this!!! Golly, I'm embarrassed now for even thinking her fro was real. Darn it!!!

Say wha??????? Are ya serious hers are FAKE too??? OMGawd!!! I think I'mma gonna stop starring at celebs hair so much now. Since I can't tell the difference in most instances!

Exactly. I just assume most of them are wearing weaves and keep it moving. Even the ones that have long hair still have pieces added from time to time. And with everybody wearing wigs now you really have no clue.

And L Boogie used to have real long hair! I remember her from OLTL and Sister Act. She had hair just Keisha Knight-Pullman did when she was playing Rudy. That straight, super-thick long hair. I could never understood why she cut off ALL of that hair when she joined The Fugees :band:

lol so im watching dave chapelle's block party now...isnt word of mouth advertising something else! After all that searching to find erykah ripping off her wig, I got interested in watching the performances too and found the movie instead.


Hold up...you mean alicia keys' hair isnt real!

Damn...and she got that "gud haya" ...no excuse! :grin:
