It looks great, healthy and thick!

What's with all the scissor happy LHCF'ers these days?

I think it looks great! Your twist-out results are beautiful! How many twists did you do? I've been wanting to try that.

I did 4 rows the first time and 5 the second time. It depends on how much volume you want.
I shampooed once, conditioned with Kenra conditioner, applied leave in and a small amount of oil to my ends.
Then I blew dry my hair on cool. I like my results better when done on slightly dry hair. I used the palm of my hands to smooth down the top of my hair (I have a crazy amount of puffy 4b new growth). I did the same in the front, using my hands to help smooth the edges.
Then I did the twist out and secured each end with a very short rubber band, otherwise they will unravel. Then I pinned the ends against my scalp, tied my hair with a scarf making sure to bring the ends of the scarf around to the front that way it was tie down my edges as well.

I will post pictures and details after I get the layers put in. I don't heat style so I'm hoping I can still rock the layers in spite of not using a curling iron.

*snaps fingers while twisting neck* Oh no u did'n...
Im shocked also but the cut does look good on you...and ur twistout....FAB!!!:)
ETA...what is the brand and name of that pink lipgloss u r rocking? It's popping!!!

Heck no its not contagious! I don't even have much, but I'm not putting scissors to my nappy tresses! lol

WOW! I love the cut. Looks sooo beautiful! However, your longer hair was gorgeous as well. I am happy that you didn't get stuck in that ooo no can't cut my hair realm and did what worked for you. I wish I could be so bold too. But, I'm not.

I have wanted to rock some of those really short sleek styles as well. But, that would not only involve me cutting my hair, but getting a relaxer as well. lol I can't go for that.

I could have just trimmed the ends gradually (I'm all about thick healthy ends over length), but I wanted an excuse to cut it :look:
Right now the cut is very blunt. If I wear it straight it's very wide and poofy.
I'm still trying to find a picture that demonstrates exactly how I want my layers. I'm also keeping the swoop bang I currently have rather than letting it grow out.

Very nice. Your hair will be back at the beginning length by the end of the year or sooner except it will be thicker. :) Very nice.

Thanks for your reply. I think that it turned out so cute! Mine might be slightly different since I'm natural but I will give it a try soon, thanks.

Your hair looks great miss! That Rihanna got me wanting her cut too but I'm trying as hard as I can to resist the urge!

I've been loving your new cut since you posted in yoru siggy

I too having been itching for a nice new year cut, I trimmed quite a bit but I want about 2 more inches gone! I love that middle pic the best and I want to try that twist out, it is so exotic looking, long hair is starting to get boring to me right now, short and sleek for the new year!!! :D

I got a weave in right now just like it but a tad longer in the front. You don't gotta cut your hair. Get a weave or a wig in that style. Trust me.
