I've put together a still picture movie detailing my cut. I had blondish highlights a while back to which my hair held up surprisingly well, but in the end I got breakage and thinning. Every time I put my hair in a ponytail I could feel the difference between the thick part (thanks to LHCF) and the old hair. That bothered me. This was compounded by the fact that it was a new year, Rihanna and her fab cut was taunting me, and I was surprisingly comfortable with the idea of cutting my hair. Maybe it was the apple cider champagne  So, I cut my hair in stages, and then got full scissor fever. Running home to snip more. I have gone from almost mid back to collar bone.

I love it! My ends are so thick. I feel sexy, chic, and swooshy haired. I will be getting a professional cut after my relaxer touch up to add layers and clean up the length. I will use this grow out period to test the Indian oils, use all the info I've learned here, stick to my vitamin regimen, and rock every funky style I've wanted to. Hopefully by this time next year I'll be closer to my Macherieamour-esque goal.

Thanks to Dozenroses99 for posting her flat twist results. I tried it and got fantastic results. The length plus the twists remind me of my old style, natural hair in kinky wild twists. The pics show frizzy hair because it was the end of the day. Earlier in the day they were smooth, moisturized, and weighty/bouncy. I will never do a regular twist out again. The curl pattern from the flat twist is so much more uniform. I dried my hair slightly before twisting it and sealed with a tiny bit of carrot oil.

These are the pics that kept popping into my head. I blame Rihanna completely  Obviously, I didn't go as short. I wanted something edgy. It was 50% my ends and 50% the fact that I wanted something edgy. My longer hair was more "sweet" and I wanted to go into '08 with something funkier. I just prey that my stylist doesn't mess up the layers. I do want to be over layered.

Now girl why you cut your hair, I have am trying not to cut right now. And now you are making it hard. I want a style to frame my face and but it up about 2-3 inches even across the back .

Niiiiiicccceee S&B....I do like it but boy am I surprised:look: you did it!
P.S..You know the cut I really think looks hot? I think it's #5 when you had a Cleopatra thing going on just below shoulder.

 Apparently so are a lot of people. Every guy I know was depressed, even my brother. They were like "Yeah, it's nice, but why'd you have to cut it". My male coworker refuses to "support the new cut" (his words) on principle alone.

I always admired your hair..its very healthy looking. i like the cut especially in the twist out.
annnnd your lipgloss is poppin':yep:

I love the cut! Your hair looks beautiful and shiny. That twistout is gorgeous! How many flat twists did you do? How many days did your twistout last?

Thanks!

(smacks teef) ooohhh, I hate you!! How you gon cut off all that hair and still have more than mine :lachen::lachen: Your hair is still the bomb adn the twistout is pretty. I lubb it! :yep:

Looks great! I know it feels good to have a fresh hair cut.

Every body cutting their hair....is it contagious? :hide:

Heck no its not contagious! I don't even have much, but I'm not putting scissors to my nappy tresses! lol

WOW! I love the cut. Looks sooo beautiful! However, your longer hair was gorgeous as well. I am happy that you didn't get stuck in that ooo no can't cut my hair realm and did what worked for you. I wish I could be so bold too. But, I'm not.

I have wanted to rock some of those really short sleek styles as well. But, that would not only involve me cutting my hair, but getting a relaxer as well. lol I can't go for that.
