OK i tried it. I hate the smell cuz im taking it internally as well. But man, this stuff is great! My hair is soft, bouncy, and even more moisturized. Dammit, when I get paid im buying two more containers. :drunk:

I did not like it as a sealant either. I thnk castor oil is better, as well.

Well, I use Kelechi Oil by Nababb which is based with castor oil, I believe.

i like it on my hair sometimes.

i like it on my face ALLLLLLLLLLl the time (and i have ubber sensitive combo skin!).

I prefer it for oil rinses. I wore my hair out and curly last saturday, when I got outside my hair was hard as a rock.:nono: And when I got indoors it was nice and soft.

I don't like it. It doesn't absorb and makes my hair dry, crunchy and oily. I need a lighter oil for a sealant. My current favorite is safflower oil.

\I am just curious to know what brand of coconut oil you have tried? What did you use it with?I just can't imagine pure coconut oil making one's hair dry, crunchy or oily. Well, to me it feels a little oily at first but then it is completely absorbed.

\ETA: What is your hair type?

My hair type is 3c. I used Vatika oil. It seemed to just lay on top of my hair and not absorb, hence the dry, yet oily feeling.

I've used it as a pre-poo and sometimes an oil rinse. I can't use it as a sealant. It makes my hair crunchy if I do that.

I think the oil sort of solidifies in the hair when you go outside (especially if you live in cold climates), then when inside where its warm it melts down again...I can't deal with the hard hair either :look:.
