It does all of the above-mentioned. And it is the best; I gave up my beloved Aveda Light Elements Smoothing Serum to CHI Silk Infusions and my hair is in love with it.

When are you guys applying it? To damp hair then blowdry, or on dry hair then flat iron?

I don't know why I'm asking, I don't own a flat iron.

I've attempted to straighten my hair in the past and it turned out a stiff poofy mess, one of these days I'm gonna give it another shot.

lol, silly girl! I think its best on dry hair. thats how my stylist used it and my hair was always very soft and straight

On the rare occasions that I blow dry I apply it to my damp hair after my leave-in.
When I have alot of new growth I apply it to my dry hair on the roots after I take out my rollers and flat iron my roots

Girl me too!!!What the heck is going wrong? Are you a natural? I', relaxed,but severely underprocessed,so...erplexed

Even CHI doesn't make much of a difference.What am i doing wrong?
Also,this is kinda ot,but i didn't know that it CHI is pronounced chee.
